>marathoned shiki last weekend
>have been slightly mad the last few days as a result
And to top it all off, almost all the porn of it is yaoi.
Now this is suffering.

read that communist copypasta about this show. it's great.
Toshio did nothing wrong
NOTHING WRONG
>>150040640
Without Toshio the village would've been overrun with von Carstein rejects, so of course he did nothing wrong.

I just absolutely loved how Toshio was essentially the character everybody complains isn't in a horror movie, someone who handles things logically and systematically to beat the horror element, and doesn't overreact.
It makes him one of my favorite characters, to be honest.
>>150040604
It truly is. Coupled with the machines of labour gif it is even better.

I like how the narrative almost built him up to be a villain who would go crazy at the end, then as the village is burning he just shrugs and goes on with life.
I'm more than disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any followup material from this series. Even weirder, the studio who made the anime hasn't produced anything past Shiki. What's the deal? Did the anime/novel not sell well?

I'm not sure, and I'm also disappointed. I want to know what happens, of course, because of how open-ended it is.
I'd even be happy with no returning characters but the same universe, for another type of story regarding vampires like that. The writing is good, the characters were a bit grating at first but grow on you like tumors, and the setting I thought was probably one of the most interesting vampire story takes I've ever experienced.

The manga goes a little further where the monk sends his novel to get published. It goes only for a chapter or so longer so you might as well read it if you want one extra bite. Thats what I did anyway.

Please spoonfeed me!

Not really much to tell. He lives as a "warewolf" with the little vampire. He sends his script to an old friend of his to get it published, then it gets published. Thats more or less it, I think he mentions his friend can keep the royalties as a token of appreciation but I am not 100% about that since it has been a while since I watched/read shiki.

I see, thanks anon.
Somebody post the October Revolution pic
Watched the made for tv salems lot movie recently and had that slow dawning realization that it's just shiki. Except shiki is much better done.
I'm still mad that they didn't have the little doll figurine of the vampire loli for sale

What? Seems like an obvious thing to sell.
