With the series, ovas and movies in what order do you watch everything?
>>149982056
Reverse production order.
Trust me.
>>149982056
3 continuities
OVA1->Movies
Tv->Ova2
Manga
Noa a best.
How come the manga never got scanlated? Those fuckers at VIZ only ever released 2 mirrored "graphic novels" before abandoning the series.
>>149982302
No interest.
>>149982112
So Patlabor 88, Patlabor movie 1, Patlabor movie 2, Patlabor WXIII
Patlabor TV, Patlabor New Files
Patlabor Reboot
???
>>149982734
Yeah sounds good.
>>149982734
>>149982056
the correct answer is always to watch in production order
frankly it doesn't really matter with Patlabor though as long as you watch the TV series before the second OVA, everything else is self-contained
>>149982056
>next gen still has no eng subs
Just kill me.
>>149983311
Never ever. Same with the manga.
They coming up with a reboot or new generation right?
>>149982820
Not always. Try watching Tenchi in production order. There's different continuities.
>>149983575
Full on reboot with gender swapped cast.
>>149983654
What the fuck did you think people who watched tenchi had to do when it first came out?
>>149983887
Yeah? Now that everything's available; what is available anyway; how would you watch it? Certainly not production order.
Ingram vs Big O?
>>149983736
Is that actually confirmed or is it speculation?

>>149984022
Confirmed, except its just a 10 minute short.

I know about the 10 min short reboot, I watched it when it came out, I thought >>149983736
>Full on reboot
was refering to an entirely new series and not just the 10 min short.
Just don't watch WXIII last because it'll leave a weird last memory of Patlabor
Not a bad taste, just a weird one.
>>149984956
Both the latter movies weren't as good in terms of mech action as the first movie.
The latter 2 were more about the story that doesn't involve the labors and when they do appear, it's only for a while.
The first had a story actually about labors and lots more action involving them as well.
>>149985213
How is that a problem?
Does anybody happen to have a shot of Noa (I think it was) in what looks like a tomato field thing?
I think it was from one of the movies. Saw it here a long time ago.
>>149987275
Those two had an even worse case of "just fuck already!" syndrome than Noa & Asuma had, especially in the TV series timeline
>>149987372
Yes, loved their chemistry.
>>149987685
>she ended up picking the old dude in the end of the 2nd movie
Fuck you shinobu.
>>149987753
That shit was the worst.
the reboot was shitty and soulless. same for cgi
>>149987753
How about the other timelines? I tend to ignore Oshii's movies as far as canon goes, as those are usually more about him masturbating next to his Philosophy 101 handbook than additions to the story. See GitS.
>>149982056
with your eyes
>>149987937
>How about the other timelines?
Both the anime and manga leave it in the air.
>>149982056
Don't. It is a very overrated meme series that is brought down by Oshii's retardation.
>>149988072I'll choose that over the movies then.
YAPOSHKI!
NYET!URA!
Which one is Goro?
>>149988169
Oshii only worked on the movies, don't write off an entire series based on that
>>149988856
r-right one.
>>149988856
The biggest one
>>149982056
You can watch either OVA 1, TV or movies independently. OVA 1 and TV are two different starts to the series and movies can be watched even if you don't know the characters, just start with the first.
The first two Patlabor movies are one of the best anime out there, so watch them. Third isn't too bad either.
