They went away from the Comedy of the title and went into Romance.
Season 1 is like My Teenage Comedy
Season 2 is like My Teenage Romance

It's worse.

Pulls a Haganai and loses all it's charm in favour of FORCED DRAMA.

a bad series is a bad series, and rakudai was one of those. descending like hawks and on anyone who tells you your favorite series is bad and claiming 'if you don't like it you must be [X]!' makes you sound no better than reddit

It's actually much worse. The only good thing about the second season is Iroha, while Yuigahama and Yukinoshita both got fucked over and turned all whiny and mopy due to being so haplessly in love with the viewer self-insert that they completely lost their edge.
