Good anime with a good ending also underrated

I liked it, but I was under the impression that it wasn't too popular here. From the few discussions I was able to catch, it seemed like most people thought it was unfunny, the kids weren't interesting enough, and the story was too predictable, among other things.

I wouldn't have disagreed with those complaints, but it was like not enough people liked it for what it was to have any decent discussions about it, as far as I know

The other kids not having as much screen time didn't ruin the story for me, but I think it would have been so much more interesting if he took the time to develop them more

I feel like it was the kind of show that a decent number of people enjoy, but that doesn't generate much discussion. I remember it got a decent number of threads, but only a couple really took off.

Probably didn't help that we had to choose between funishit and waiting months for FFF.
