The anime is terrible. The first 3 eps have very little dialogue and actually adapt the tone of the VN well. The next 9 have shounen style magic battles, new character interactions, filler, and completely ditch the source altogether and are some of the worst shit I've ever seen.

They fucked up the script in the first episode by introducing Rimi in the first episode.

The impact this scene made in the VN was so much better.
Her suddenly being in his classroom makes no sense at all.
But in the VN the scene is well executed and Taku is literally cowering in fear.
The anime totally missed the point.

From what I've seen it's mostly due to the first episode being too fast paced along with everyone believing that whole "the entirety of volume 1 was crammed into episode 1" shit. That combined with the expansive PLOT made everyone disdainfully drop it during the first two episodes.

This show is actually starting to get quite good. I hope they don't drop the ball in the later half.
