Is he coming back or not?
Is Big Mom fucking with Sanji just like she did with Jinbei?
REMINDER WHITEBEARD WAS RIGHT.
HE DID NOT LIE.
R E M I N D E R HE SAID THIS
Eh, option being losing body part, life(head), and kingdom (head with crown).
Jimbei with peg leg joins the crew.
Pedro dies and Carrot has no way home, becomes temp member.
The whole Wano arc is a suspense building 'will Luffy make it to save them?' arc while Zoro does all the work and character development
His sword gets turned in to a Logia wind sword
>His sword gets turned in to a Logia wind sword
Nah, he'll upgrade and replace his 50 Ryo Wazamono Sandai Kitetsu with Wano's 12 Saijo O Wazamono Shodai Kitetsu.
which is equal in tier with Mihawk's Yoru
Either mercy (the image means big mom smile)
or destruction of their/jimbe hometown (the image represent kingdom through crown/king image)
Big Mom have done both before so... We are not quite sure which one is the right one.
Jimbe give Poneglyph to Big Mom before he made the decision to leave. It's just giving precious thing he found to his new boss
It's not part of the compesation, tough Big Mom might put that into consideration.
So Nami is Lola's sworn sister after Thriller Bark... And Big Mom wants to seal the deal between Vinsmokes and her crew with a marriage... Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
> Inventor of a new type of steel
> Married to Miss Universe, regarded as the definition of beauty
> Was kicked out, but now a king of his own kingdom, a kingdom he has built from the profits of his inventions
Yep. I, too, think this is lame.
> but not lamer than
The power itself is not creative, Cracker himself is.
In early One Piece he was built up as a rival for Luffy, but the longer the series is going the more painfully obvious it becomes that he was just a logia tutorial level.
They are actually using the word correctly though, as much as I dislike it.
What exactly is keeping Nami in place here? Why wouldn't she just move? Atleast physically nothing is restraining her. While first reading I thought the woman behind her was just holding her arms, but that is not the case.
Page before where Luffy is in the book world, when he looked at Nami he saw her in a bird cage (together with the woman grabbing the vivre card), but maybe that is just an illusion? Did only Luffy see it? Does the book world create actual physical objects that can interact with people like that? Or is it the woman's devil fruit that is restraining Nami?
(This is your chance to fill the thread with discussion rather than letting it indulge in shitposting.)
>Inventor of a new type of steel
He is talented businessman that was able to sell his own poop, but his fruit is one of the worst fruits ever.
But yeah, I forgot the jacket, I wonder what Oda was thinking at the moment.
Aren't her powers supposed to be butter related, as she's the ministry of butter? Also galette looks tasty, why can't Oda add some recipes, the whole Big Mom arc makes me hungry.
But the newspaper said that he is not leaving. And defamation is not the same as dying. People said no one tried to leave the crew and live.
I'd hate it thought if Jinbe lost a leg or arm. His fighting style depends heavily on distributing his body weight and having the correct stance, so losing him a leg would heavily weaken him (in theory, atleast, we all know however losing a body part means nothing in One Piece). Losing an arm would be similarly bad since he relies on punching. Also, we had character losing limps in every arc after the time skip (except maybe Fishman Island?), so having another one would be kinda lame.
Nerfing Jinbe would be a questionable decision since he arguably wasn't that strong by New World standards anyway.
I honestly thing he pulled out because Ur Mom was threatening to kill the entirety of Fishman Island or something like that. He would gladly lose a limp for Luffy, but not sacrifice an entire people.
Their powers aren't always akin to their ministry. Montdor is Minister of Cheese and has the book DF. They can be whatever really. As long as they control the faction of their food accordingly (ie the island and the supply of that food)
Her fingers should be a bit longer.
Friend of mine said she probably just moved really fast. That's silly though, there is nothing indicating that she is moving quickly here, especially since she is standing behind Nami for multiple panels.
Where are you getting these names from?
Just wanted to say:
We don't know that for sure. Jack might be named after a game, like every other member of the Beasts Pirates.
On the other hand, Joker being a "special" calamity would fit the KQJ theme, and Kaido calling himself Ace (to keep up the naming theme) would piss Luffy off to no end and give him another reason to kick his ass.
Is her sword growing/shrinking in size aswell? It seems a bit short in the cage, while in the other panel it is cutting Baum slowly in two - without a flying slash, so it should be long enough to go through his entire body.
Expansion fruit? Or is she just from Long Ring Long Island.
Jinbe got the head with crown which means he has to lose his land. He won't put Fishman Island in danger so he's hesitant to leave.
No one will fight Mom in this arc. Instead, Judge and Germa 66 will be the final boss. The focus will be on rescuing Sanji. However, halfway through, Jinbe will likely see Luffy struggling and remember that he made a promise, deciding to finally take the leap and openly oppose Mom.
For this, and for the crew as a whole crashing her precious wedding and wrecking the place, Mom will be utterly livid and go to Fishman Island herself with her strongest fighters to slaughter everyone there. The arc will turn into a race back to FI, and then into a battle to evacuate it where the current crew + Jinbe will face off against Mom herself together. The battle will completely wreck FI and Luffy's finishing blow against Mom will destroy it.
He was probably thinking what if he can have the personality and appearance of his neighbor so that he can
fuck the wife. Or much plausible, he is a cuck and would fuck his wife as someone else while watching through a mirror.
But it does. Why does Puddin lie to Straw Hats? It's because she's working with Big Mom. And she works with her because she is her. The body of Big Mom is just a homie with a large ammount of souls which she uses as a proxy.
It will be Ichiji. He will BTFO everyone soon.
If BM crew knows the importance of the Poneglyphs, why is it heavily implied that they don't have an interest in Robin? Intel is their specialty, right?
As of now, she is the ONLY one who can read them. Have they found a way to do away with that?
Well, Gold Roger could apparently hear the voice of things, so things probably do have a "soul" or atleast some sort of essence without needing to be alive.
Metaphysics are weird in One Piece. Interesting, but weird.
There are people who still expect/want an Alliance with BM after this page ?
I have this feeling that after the marriage, either judge or BM will kick sanji out of there, and he will come back to strawhats. He does not need to be there, he just needs to give pudding babies, which is quite apparent with big mom had married a million times
This chapter made me appretiate Mom's design a ton. She changes from joyous lady to terrifying force of nature with just a bit of shading. Also, her hat mimicking her expression is a ton of fun.
Imagine if Ivankov turned you and your friends into the opposite gender.
This is possible.
How about this one?
> everything has a purpose
> when said thing is given life, it is "programmed" to achieve this purpose.
> a food would say "eat me". Something like that.
Maybe the Poneglyph would say
> "read me"
> "oh you can't?"
> " anyway, i'm indestructible, you can't kill me and i just want this information I have to be known. So listen up."
Maybe he will? I mean, it is weird he is just giving up like that without any backup plan. He probably knows he doesn't have to stay there afterwards but the straw hats are too dense.
Wh didn't Nami hide Lola's vivre card in her pussy?
Yeah, something like that. Essence metaphysically predates existence in this scenario.
Some scientists (before the invention of the scientific method) actually thought that is the way nature works. Rocks fall when being thrown not due to gravity, but because that is what rocks do, it is their nature to fall and they behave according to their nature.
Basically, they have a will, which is the origin of haki.
If all things behave like that, maybe "hearing the voices of things" is just some kind of conqueror's haki where you interact with the object's haki. Something like that. It would also explain why lifeless objects could get devil fruits.
Sanji keeping up with Judge and this happening before the other siblings are shown much makes that seem less likely
It's shown after how Judge poured his resources into developing his children, which is the driving force of Sanji's backstory, and Ichiji is seemingly built up as the quiet leader among the children, along with already being the eldest.
Nichiji and Yonji are obnoxious bullies but Ichiji is the one who hammers the concepts about the superiority of nobility and blood to Sanji at that one dinner. He embodies Judge's ideals and I think that sets up Sanji's biggest fight with Germa.
I get part of the theme is Sanji defying his family and overcoming his "weaker" genetics but to have Judge also be stronger than all of his enhanced kids would make Germa a joke and kill the build up with Ichiji.
When the wedding is over, i think. If we follow that no one knows the bomb in the box, and the box is given as a gift to the groom/groom's family, then after the wedding is the only time it will be opened.
Well there's more to it because Roger is explicitly stated to not have known the language on the poneglyphs but he could still read and write, with Rayleigh saying that "voice of all things" line afterwards
Nice fantasy you have there.
Did Roger write this in the dead language?
All that's known is that Rayleigh states there's no way anyone in the crew would be able to know or understand the language, yet Roger was able to write a message into the belfry regardless. He then states that Roger could hear "the voice of all things", or however you translate it, and that's all there was to it.
The explicit part is that Roger knows the contents of the Poneglyphs.
How? He heard the "voice of all things", as Rayleigh said.
Now, as to who wrote his reply on the Gold surface, no confirmation yet.
After Zou arc, it's believed it was Oden Kozuki who wrote it for him. But it's still possible that Roger himself wrote that.
But Rayleigh specifically states the "voice of all things" relating to the Poneglyph
Also it's stated by Gan Fall that Roger rode the knock-up stream to Skypiea which would have happened before Wano.
Still better than drawing maps with fishman's sperm
on your own body.
He was still the leader of Wano, being with the crew at Skypeia would mean he traveled with them after a previous voyage and stayed with them for an entire other one which would have taken years. Joining them after they entered the New World on the last voyage would take far less time.
This may be where pure speculation comes in I guess, I just think Roger wrote it
Rayleigh said they have recruited Crocus for their last TRIP to the Grandline to help Roger with his sickness. Then they "conquered" GL by reaching Raftel and Roger was widely known after that as the Pirate King.
This heavily implies that they had several TRIPS. So there are chances for Roger to meet Oden first before going to Skypiea.
Maybe they recruited Oden specifically because they wanted to know more about the Poneglyphs? Like, Roger heard its voice but was still confused by it, so he got himself an Oden.
My theory is just that because Oden had a country to run, as well as already having spent time with the Whitebeard pirates, that it makes more sense that he would have only joined Roger on the final journey to Raftel since it would have taken far less time. So while he was still considered "nakama", he wasn't a long running crew member.
Which would mean that he wasn't there for Skypiea and the "voice of all things" line specifically tied to the Poneglyph meant Roger himself wrote the message.
No, it's this one
so that's what the drill blade is based on
Isn't the knock-up stream tied to that area?
The only known locations of the knock-up streams are one in the ancient past, which was at Jaya, and one that happened just a short distance from Jaya. It seems like it is tied to that general location.
And Raftel is called the "last island" in the New World, if it isn't exactly in the New World it would be strange for it be somewhere back in Paradise and is a complete throwaway guess at this point.
Smoothie's devil fruit seems like one of those all-or-nothing type fruits right now, like Bonney's fruit. She gets her hands on you and wrings you out or she doesn't. Nothing else is known about it right now and I can't really think of other "smoothie" related abilities right now.
The knock up stream would appear in a place where a large undersea pot like structure that can gather enough large water every single instance so that the magma underneath can boil it to a pressure point and burst.
Raftel can still be near the Red line where the pirates can still miss it. So they can end up in the opposite side of Red Line (where Laboon is waiting) through the Reverse Mountain.
Skypiea is on top of that large cloud. It may travel great distances all over the OP world.
All these are just possibilities tho.
Is Corazon THE biggest d-bag in OP? Think about it from Doffy's perspective.
>your precious little brother comes out of the woodwork after more than a decade of having abandoned you to the wolves
>you don't know where the fuck he's been or what he's been doing with who
>the worlds most powefful elites have you by the balls because you found out their dirty laundry
>you take him in with open arms despite all this because he's your little bro
>he then turns out to be a spy for an aristocratic fascistic regime and has been working against you all along
>he's also taken your dream DF and given it to some shitty little kid who's gonna be dead in a few weeks and then your fruits going to be MIA forever
Was Doffy in the right?
Fat chance. She joining the crew after she marries Sanji.
>Skypiea is on top of that large cloud. It may travel great distances all over the OP world.
Forall we know there are multiply sky islands, so obviously the condition for Skypiea to go to other places could exist. (As in, it wouldn't fall apart if it left the air space above Jaya.)
That's actually pretty sad. The best place to live is the food island of cannibalistic matriarch and her family of violent psychos. What does the WG do to improve the situation?
Well I got some discussion out of a modern One Piece thread on /a/, I'll take that as a victory
>new girls immediately get lots of fanart
>still nothing for brulee
what do they have against best girl?
Just to add..Ganfall also said the SH got to Skypiea the "dangerous" way. He said (not sure if explicit) that there are other ways (then cue Nami being angry at Luffy).
I don't remember tho if Roger went with the knock up stream way.
>SH forced to serve Big Mom
>Big Mom is the new MC
Who would replace each of the crewmembers?
Can Big Mom fill herself up with souls and do this?
After this arc is over, what do you think will happen to Pekoms?
> failed his mission because of personal reason
> willingly bring in an enemy pirate and a confirmed black listed mink thief without notice
> contribute to the failure to suppress the coup against BM by being useless (defeated by Capone twice)
> act like an ally of SH (kill any one point blank when given the command) despite insisting that he is loyal to BM
> provide further doubt in BM's mind when he shows he has second thoughts in complying with BM's roulette
Since Pekoms is not a son/daughter of BM, there is a high chance he will not be allowed to come back into the crew and even be executed, regardless of the result of the rescue attempt of the SH. He will escape tho, possibly against his will at that time. He would most likely become an integral part of a new/revived Mink pirate crew.
Any other ideas?
He didn't even have a sad past. That's the point. He's so fucked up that he thinks his backstory is messed up when in actuality he hasn't been through anything remarkable.
>boo hoo my father wouldn't let me keep slaves, you don't understand the horrors I've been through
Doffy was far stronger than Luffy or Law but he was still a huge faggot.
I posted this question few threads ago. Just curious if there would be new insights since there was a nice discussion rolling earlier.
What if the OP world is one of the moons? And raftel is that planet where it orbits around?
Considering Odas attention to detail, I'm not sure that model was anything at all. None of the planets resembles OPs world. It also has like 7 or 8 moons. This makes the center planet the most likely candidate but it still looks off.
1. Ferri is not gay.
2. Even though my love for Carrot is only about 1/20 of my love for Ferri, I still want to share it here.
3. There is currently no Re:Zero thread.
No, it's the voice of "all things". This implies that every thing in the OPverse, animate or inanimate has a voice and roger could her them. also why luffy and momo can hear the elephant even though they don't speak elephant.
This may not be enough. Though Tamago is the level headed one based on the Fishman Island candy incident so BM may have some deeper respect for him when he voices his opinion.
Thing is, I believe there needs to be a benefit that BM can have now or look forward to so that she can accept the opinion.
Maybe Tamago will cover up that Pekoms allowed to Pedro to be in the island. And when Pedro is captured, he may present it as Pekom's "achievement".
Thoughts on this big bitch being a potential fight for Brook? She is tall, fights with a sword, and has some sort of musical motif. She is also the opposite of Brook in that she was attempting to kill her opponent slowly.
I post what I want and I won't do such thing, my dear bro.
Reminder that Zoro RIGHT NOW is sharing a drink with Kaido while Luffy is getting captured
Ichiji may take over Germa and declare the non-enchanced since birth Judge is unfit to lead Germa.
But unless Ichiji is far stronger than Judge, i don't think he stand a chance against unfettered Sanji.
Sometimes I just wanna pop out of a barrel and become pirate king
>Is Big Mom fucking with Sanji just like she did with Jinbei?
i hope she's being sincere
not every villain has to be a Machiavellian asshole
oda should be able to write her as being an asshole in other ways
that is, if he isn't a hack
Still a high chance that he's alive. Zoan DF users have higher physical capabilities so his recovery would be quicker than other DF users.
Logical assumption is he was saved by one of the fishman pirates or the sea creatures that can be controlled.
This would trigger that group to move and join in the scene. They could learn the plot to overthrow BM and the fact that Luffy is in trouble.
I believe this group is smart. BM is currently FI's protector. If another case like WB occurs again, they wouldn't want FI to suffer. Plus, they couldn't rely solely with Luffy and they would believe he needs more time to gain the fame and authority that would equal a Yonkou's so that FI can be safe.
>implying he didn't win

I think the "ceremonies" of the wedding will happen to give us that "moment of disbelief".
After the wedding, the capone side will take advantage of it. A trigger for a breach of trust between BM crew and Germa will occur. Not yet sure what the trigger is but I'm guessing the bomb. If not, probably involving the betrayal of a sweet commander (through Capone's keikaku)
>priest asks if anyone has any objections before finalising wedding
>Bege stands up
>Pulls out gun
>Blows Puddings head clean off
>Sanji in disbelief
>Bege given standing ovation
>pic related walks in
>Wedding goes ahead after minor hiccup
>Sana confirmed canon
>cake tastes like shit
You caught me XDDD.
> 2 devils fighting then killing/destroying the person who ate it.
> soul of a person vs devil in the fruit. Devil wins pretty much.
What if it's the "strong soul" of BM or any Yonkou or character with a strong will?
this is probably how it will end up.
the D's have strong willpower, so it is plausible that someone with the "D" name can eat two devil fruits as they can retain their mental integrity.
i like to think that during the final fight between luffy and blackbeard, blackbeard will realize he can't win and eats another fruit, which makes him godly powerful - but ends up killing him before he can finish luffy
>tfw waterproof phone
>tfw satisfying Nami jackoff session, in the showers
When it first enlisted in the Marines, it ate the Recruitment Profile. No one exactly knows.
It eats a lot of important papers, too. Sengoku took a liking because he's an eco-friendly "paper shredder" for the highly confidential.
However, Sengoku almost killed it when he noticed the goat making sounds constantly in front of another Marine officer. His instinct tells him it's a code, that the goat is telling classified information!
Sengoku is compassionate and already loves the goat. He remembers Roci in it. And so he decided to find the Nagi-Nagi no mi. It took a lot of the Marine's resources to finally secure the fruit for himself.
And so to silence the goat, without killing it, he let the goat eat the Nagi-Nagi no mi. Ordering the goat "Calm" for the first and last time.
> Except for the fact that the goat can only say "Mehh" so the whole point was useless.
You're at a bar when this guy walks in. He walks right up to your captain and proceeds to steal his devil fruit power. What do you do?
Theories on how Monet survived Punk Hazard?
Simple. She turn herself into a devil fruit and managed to regrow another tree, waiting for someone to eat her.
Way more pralinefags than I expected.
Also impressive that Smoothie is 1%> under Pudding, considering Pudding has been around for half a year while Smoothie has been here for half a chapter.
Ah. My mistake. Allow me to be more clear, then:
Monet did not survive Punk Hazard. As clearly depicted in both the anime and manga, Monet died when she was stabbed through the heart by Caesar. Law, who had used his Devil Fruit ability to remove the hearts of both Smoker and Monet, tricked Caesar into believing that he was in possession of Smoker's heart. Knowing that defeat was imminent, Caesar desperately lashed out, attempting to seize whatever victory he could; more specifically, Caesar decided that he would stab the heart in his possession, believing it to be Smoker's. Unfortunately, because he really had Monet's heart, he unwittingly stabbed her heart instead, killing her instantly.
Monet is dead. She did not survive Punk Hazard. There are no theories as to how Monet may have survived because she is, in fact, deceased.
>tfw you realize Smoothie over 11x stronger than Hancock
What would Smoothies taste like?? I bet it's good.
How would you guys feel if One Piece was cancelled and replaced by
What the fuck is up with him and Bonney?
Every other Supernova is involved in something that's either making them relevant (like Capone) or will likely make them relevant (everyone involved in the Kaido mess).
Meanwhile one is stealing pizza and the other is just fucking his harem in the sky and watching Kaido try to kill himself.
>mfw patiently waiting for Pudding to join the crew
>Follows the card (+ card game) naming theme of Beast Pirates
>Has always been suspicious and since one of the minks definitely has a vivre to Kaido's crew and he's the most likely
>Had no real need to go to WCI but was insistent on it
>Wants Big Mom's poneglyphs and yet has no real need for them at all
>Tamago stated he has tried stealing them before, and in the same regard mentions that opposing Yonkos would go to lengths to steal each other's poneglyphs
>Has been shown being curious about what Luffy plans with Kaido and beyond
I called him being connected to Kaido a year ago with the naming theme and how he was so insistent on going to WCI (to gather intel for Kaido)
Kaido's higher subordinates follow card values:
>Kaido = Card = Kādo (Japanese for card)
>Jack = Jack card
>X Drake = 10 card
>(Picture of Oda's desk confirmed King and Queen calamities too)
Kaido's lower subordinates follow card games:
>Gin Rummy = Gim Rummy game
>Sheepshead = Sheephead game
>Scotch = Scotch Whist game
>Pedro = Pedro game
And then there's his subordinate-like connection of Doflamingo (Joker card), who's subordinates followed the card suit theme
>implying pudding isn't trying to undermine sanji's mind and trying to make the marriage happen for the sake of big mom's crew
just look at the rest of big mom's children, there's no way that she just turned out to be normal by chance
I originally had Kaido as the King card but apparently the picture of Oda's desk showed Kaido, King, Queen, Jack written above it which indicates that the three calamities are those. It somewhat killed my hopes of Drake being a calamity, but we'll see.
I'm wondering why they're not considered a commander any more. They're still Big Mom's kid and if they didn't replace them then surely there was no reason to let go of such a force. Perhaps they died due to Urouge or maybe Big Mom killed them in a rage due to the fact they lost?
That's true. At least he's right behind them though. Still wondering what other zoans will the other two calamities have. I always thought they'd be ancients (which is why Drake's would fit in well). Perhaps some pterodactyl/sabre tooth or something?

I really hope that the current arc manages to reach Dressrosa's level of achievement. Even if it had pacing issues and some weak plots, it had a huge scale, like a million characters, and several plotlines at the same time.
So far it definitely seems like Totland can be like it but better, especially since the focus is now much more personal with the plot revolving around Sanji instead of Law. I guess I'm just very happy with how One Piece is now that Oda has managed to pull the series back to motion after the time skip.
Seriously, I love how now everything is more connected, of course the earlier arcs had that greatness of being fresh and new, but that can't carry the series forever. The New World focusing on alliances, with the crew being at different locations while accompanied by different characters is a very good idea in the long run, and it strikes some of my main complaints of FI and PH.
Back to Totland, I just hope that Oda manages to do the Big Mom Pirates justice.
I would hope that Ichiji is a lot stronger that Dadji, otherwise all of that buildup over them having perfect genetics with unlimited potential would be a huge joke.
Bad enough that Yonji got off panelled like a scrub and Dadji had to resort to bullshit tricks just to hold off a barely trying, handicapped Sanji. If all of the Vinsmokes turn out to be weak as shit, it'd be one of the worst cases of false hype yet.
And what I mean by justice is that I hope that this arc doesn't go down just like the rest. That's why I'm so glad that Germa is there, they are the perfect group so that Big Mom doesn't need to fight Luffy while there still being a conflict.
Though I'm still wondering how Oda'll bridge the gap between Luffy and the Yonkou; yeah, Luffy did defeat Cracker, but he had major help from Nami, which hit just to the weakness of his ability. I'd really like a training arc in One Piece, I love those and it'd help a lot story wise.
>I'd really like a training arc in One Piece
We already had the timeskip, and we're still getting reveals about what the characters learned and accomplished during that time. It's too soon for another training arc.
Training arcs and time skips aren't the same for shounen. DB for example, had many timeskips where Goku trained and got a lot stronger off-screen, but there's also training arcs like his training with Kaiou-sama before the Saiyans arrive or his training before the Cell Games.
>I'm still wondering how Oda'll bridge the gap between Luffy and the Yonkou
This is really bothering me right now. Rayleigh sent Luffy off into the New World seemingly confident in his ability when Rayleigh must've known roughly how powerful everyone there was, since Whitebeard was basically the yardstick to the place. But now on the island he's clearly VERY far out of his league. Is he going to "awaken" his fruit and some dumb bullshit will happen?
>I would hope that Ichiji is a lot stronger that Dadji, otherwise all of that buildup over them having perfect genetics with unlimited potential would be a huge joke.
All of the kids should be I would say. They have all trained since kids and are superhumans, while Judge himself is an ordinary strong guy who uses tech to advance his fighting.
This. I said all along that I don't think Luffy will end up fighting Big Mom. Himself and her are bad match-ups in general, and the fact that the "crew" he brought wasn't for the purpose of taking down a whole Yonko's force and was instead an infiltration. Germa are a good way out, and I can see a whole big escape scene to end the arc.
Oda will bridge the gap for Luffy by a slow build up. First he took down Doflamingo with help (who's pretty much a commander level like Cracker), then he went on to solo Cracker. I still personally see him taking down Kaido with a group effort, which again will build him up to a high level, before taking on his final opponents of Blackbeard and Sakazuki by himself. It'll just be a progression, but the gap's too large for him to just jump it before Kaido, or even until near the end.
>Oda will bridge the gap for Luffy by a slow build up
Very fucking slow because it's like 300 chapters since the timeskip. By the time 300 chapters had first passed, Luffy had gone from nobody to learning to fight with his fruit, had straight up beaten a schibukai, and just beat Enel. Luffy feels the same power level now that he felt right after the timeskip.
Rayleigh only saw Luffy for his first 6 months of training. He just taught him Haki and let him run around to train on his own basically. I doubt he wants to ruin Luffy's adventure, and he trusts that no matter what in the end he'll be able to reach his dream, seeing himself and his own crew in him. His intentions weren't making him strong enough to curbstomp the entire New World, there'd be no fun in that, and true strength is attained in true battle, not in training.
Weekend anime stream brings Arlong Park in form of Nami TV special.
Bring in snacks, as long as they are not fishsticks.
I personally wanted there to be an arc where Drake was the antagonist to bridge him to Kaidou, but now that he defeated Cracker without it being a huge deal I don't think Oda'll have a whole arc around a subordinate.
This arc is really weird, Oda has focused on how Luffy is starting to fight Yonkou, with the setup for Big Mom and Kaidou layed out, but then on the arc itself we are seeing that it's not possible, and even then, it'd feel like rushing things.
The problem is, what's going to happen then? Even if Germa are the main antagonists and he somehow escapes Big Mom, the rest of the crew is going to Wano, with Kaidou seeming to be a bigger threat than Big Mom. Is there going to be a cop out there too? Is he going to defeat him there? After that, will Big Mom have another arc for hersefl?
>Nami only weakened Cracker's powers
Luffy had to put his all into destroying a single biscuit soldier, whereas with Nami's help he could go around eating them. That's probably a bigger help than what he got against Doflamingo considering how relatively easily he pasted him.
The only way I see this working is:
>Germa are the antagonists
>Big Mom becomes ally/Luffy escapes from her
>Luffy goes over to Wano
>Kaidou beats him
>Training arc/small timeskip
>Worldbuilding smaller arc like Zou (I hope this is Vegapunk)
>Big arc involving Kaidou and Big Mom, where they both go down
My problem with this is that the whole momentum building since PH may be lost. I hope that Oda's final version is much better, and I'm sure it'll make sense when it comes.
The cop out for Kaidou is that he's had the Ope-Ope immortality shit done to him, that's why he can't kill himself or die in general. Law will cure his immortality, then he'll kill himself and Luffy will get the credit.
>Luffy and Co escaping Totland
>Luffy goes to Wano
>Possible confrontation of Luffy with Weevil (this is a hit or miss, I don't care if he does or doesn't see Weevil, but it would give him and chance to fight a strong Warlord)
>Luffy ends up trying to fight Kaido solo and gets rekt
>Second attempt at Kaido is a joint effort of the likes of Moriah, Kid, Luffy. Luffy doing the majority of the fighting/damage here furthers his strength greatly, but still not Yonko level of course)
>Few world building arcs with fights of people around admiral level (such as on Elbaf)
>Luffy vs Blackbeard for One Piece/PK
>Luffy vs Sakazuki in final war
Not sure which fight will come first out of BB/Sakazuki, but either way it shouldn't matter too much.
Brief prediction, but that's the transition I feel Luffy will take to become stronger than the Yonkos and become PK without another timeskip.
Do you expect Luffy's second battle with Kaidou to be on Wano? Regrouping like that seems like it'd require an arc of its own, and I doubt Oda'd reuse a location. I also see a fight with Weevil as something small scale, part of an arc. I guess fighting Kaidou as a joint operation would work as a replacement for more training.
Your sequence doesn't explain what happens with BM though. I also expect Sakazuki to fight Sabo in the end, it works much better IMHO.
Like seriously the main problem with this manga is just how fucking slow it's become. It isn't even funny at this point. It's already been 20 chapters since they touched down on Mom's territory.
It's not slow at all, it'd be slow if it felt slow while reading all at once, but if you reread the arc you'll notice that even for setup this arc has gone quite fast thanks to the smaller SH group.
I even feel like the overall story could be going a bit too fast.
>Do you expect Luffy's second battle with Kaidou to be on Wano?
I suppose, given all of Luffy's Kaido alliance forces are heading to/are at Wano as we speak. I'm seeing it like Croc where the three rematches were still on the same island.

I don't think Luffy will be the one to take her down. Perhaps another force or supernova will manage to pull it off to actually give other characters more influence in the story (it'd be a bit stale to me of Luffy beat them all). For now they'd flee her and then at a later time (with her forces weakened having 2 commanders down) another person would strike. Heck I could potentially even see BB striking as he tends to go in at such times to finish things off.
I think were building up a war between Kaido and Big Mom, which will result in one of them taking out the other, and the Strawhats taking out the badly injured victor afterwards
The story will then slow down again for a while before Shanks goes down to Blackbeard and he becomes the defacto King of the Pirates, then the story will likely be pretty chaotic until the end of the manga
