It's Georgette's birthday today!
Say something nice about her
She is very, very cute and I want to hug her.
I want to sniff her smelly panties
I want Strike Witches to come back
Aw, another very early thread for episode day, it never ends.
Also don't forget to congratulate cute Jose-chan in the birthday thread! http://helma.us/sw/res/2379+50.html
It's not going to come back, at least aaanytime soon in about five years. Then again I can see some shorter OVA happen with some of the 501st.
Isn't that obvious?
>Say something nice about her
She looks really good in her underwear
Nothing canonically known legitimate stuff so far. But I like to believe almost all Fumi stuff as canon given his status as creator, so this picture tells enough.
Till then just a flirt countess for now.
To elaborate on what another anon already posted in a previous thread, here's more info on the books in Kanno's shelf, in case some autist wants to add it to a wiki or needs to accurately portray her tastes in his fanfiction.
From left to right:
心の姿の研究 (kokoro no sugata no kenkyuu), novel? by Takuboku Ishikawa
悲しき玩具 (kanashiki gangu) "the sad toy", poetry anthology by Takuboku Ishikawa, 1912
一握の砂 (ichiaku no suna) A Handful of Sand, poetry anthology by Takuboku Ishikawa, 1910
桜の園 (sakura no sono) The Cherry Orchard, play by Anton Chekhov, 1903
かもめ (kamome) The Seagull, play by Anton Chekhov, 1895 [unlikely: novella by Osamu Dazai, 1940]
花のおとぎ話 (hana no otogibanashi) Flower Fables, short story compilation by Louisa May Alcott, 1854
若草物語 (wakakusa monogatari) Little Women, novel by Louisa May Alcott, 1868
The wiki states; She constantly works to defend the new pilots in their unit from Flight Lieutenant Krupinski, saying "...and after what you did to that cutie Hartmann?". However, it's generally said that this was just bit of half-joking between trusted comrades-in-arms.
Edy isn't salty at all to Krupi the way you think, she's just bit of a tsun.
Oh man, thanks a lot for the research.
Uh, Kobo's first book was published in 1947, that wouldn't fit the timeline. Same with Mishima's bibliography.
Erica as funny it might sound. Also I assume Perrine since she's a self-taught teacher. I can't see Minna overlook books either but there's nothing on that though.
Really, lots of the witches appreciate books, after all there's not much else to do during downtime in the 40's so why not indulge in some nice books.
It's bad yes, not shit, and still enjoyable too.
I thought we got over these shitty 'which witch X' questions already.
Just wanted to say Nipa is a miracle of the universe and I want to protect her from all manner of dangerous things.
I don't even know about the rest.
Nipa is 3rd best BW.
She's not really tanned, just darker skin complex. Though the anime went ahead and boosted it quite a lot from Fumi's style.
>BDs getting delayed for further improvement
Oh nice. I was a bit iffy at first but I think I might slip on the slope for BW this time around. God knows I've already done it for the entirety of SW.
Lots, here's the list of most stuff even if it's a bit dated; http://www.helma.us/pastebin.txt
But still plenty of translated stuff on top of official localizations.
Here's to hoping that the anon from last week isn't here to post scrnshots of the episode as it airs, there's really no point to it.
And that time would just fast forward by four hours now so we get our subs already.
I'd teach proper sauna etiquette to Krupi in our date.
Georgette is tied with Sadako for my favorite Brave Witch.
Hopefully anon, hopefully.
We'll see that in the next few hours.
Probably some minor Nipa/Sasha stuff based off the episode description.
No, they aren't.
I honestly doubt we're gonna get S1-2 levels of yuri like Eilanya was in their episodes with this season, despite this squad being even more dyker than the previous one canonically. Well Krupi episode might change that around, I hope.
Does Nipa even care about that polar bear? She seems to care more about other Suomus girls and Kanno.
Is it just evil Orussian plan to invade Suomus witches?
Yes, Nipa cares very fondly of her comrades, but she doesn't see Sasha the way Sasha sees her, to put it simply. Nipa's 'caring' eyes are set on Eila from their Suomus days.
Well.. currently in a loving manner, no one. Though I'm sure Nipa loves Sasha's mechanical skills at least. Sasha just needs to be a bit more assertive when it comes to winning Nipa's dense love.
I want to see these aras again
That's from WWII. When the US troops entered Paris, they found out that the people were kinda dirty. It was because for the last days, they were too busy to try to help free their city to wash.
And so, now the americans joke about it.
Man, so all the frog bullying about that is thanks to retarded Americans once again? Learn something new always.
Georgette is a maid herself and Perrine is a nobility. Neither would be dirty ever, same goes for Amelie since she's with Perrine now.
Yeah, form those screenshots alone I know what to expect of episode 7 already.
6 got posted last week several times, the episode is out with subs in few hours anyways so why would you need it? Also no, it's looking like to be a fanservice ep just like the previous seasons had it by 7.
This, it's not about the squadron but how the fights and neurois have been done in this season.
They're so unmemorable, poor quality and boring you might as well skip them and make this into a nice slice of life instead.
Also here, still don't get it why you wanted this.
Near the end of December it gets so cold in the Orussian Empire that even the river near the Petersburg base freezes over.
While Hikari and Kanno are shivering in the cold, Nipa is keeping composed in her everyday clothes.
"I-It's pretty cold, right?"
"Actually, I thought this year was pretty warm."
"What do you mean warm!? This is why you're from Suomus..."
But, when the three go sledding on the frozen Neva River they notice right in front of them...
>"Actually, I thought this year was pretty warm."
Where have I heard that phrase before? I'm fairly sure Nipa said that before too in a episode already or was it something from GuP? Gah, my brain.
>It's a Christmas/New Year's Day episode.
Yay, if only they had aimed at the real last week of the year airing date with it.
He's probably gay.
I bet cuddling with Nipa after sex is like hugging a cloud, that is full of warmth and happiness. That is until you're sleeping then she rolls onto you accidentally, suffocating you with her boobs.
What a way that would be to go out.
Why would there be any to begin with? There's no point to that whatsoever.
I don't see it happening in Drifters threads for example despite the massive popularity of the show on this board.
Waiting for subs.
That said, is it a smart move to have most of the top aces congested in the 501st?
Would it be better to split the best witches evenly between JFWs?
The 501st was at a crucial area though, so that might be the reason of it having all those best girls.
And I'm fully aware that the real Rall and Krupinski were among Germany's best.
Is it a meme now to come to livewatch threads to complain about livewatch threads? You guys would love this site called helma where you can just talk about the same old shit over and over again without being bothered by people who are watching and discussing the latest episodes.
Dover is very important strait to hold as you say, because all the people from mainland Europe evacuated to England (some to South and North America), so it would be bad to lose it.
Having 501st cover it is vital, there's also Wilma's squad rather nearby 501st holding the line as well. So you have essentially two witch squadrons defending UK.
As long the squads get their jobs done in the end, does it matter?
The color composition of the exploded building is really nice. Love how they mix the color red here.
They got the dense part with Eila right too the first time. But that's just one of the many things that made me love her so much too.
Aurora and other Suomus witches though don't seem to be all that dense.
Oh yes, they're very common.
I really loved they way they portrayed her way of handling friendship. She seemed kind of mean towards other's in her group (apart from Sanya), but when it really mattered she was always there for them. I really liked the way she was very good at what she did without being cocky in a boastful way. She was a very finnish character. I wonder where the author got the inspiration for her.
>I wonder where the author got the inspiration for her.
it couldn't possibly be Chief Warrant Officer Eino Ilmari Juutilainen, top-scoring non-german ace with 94 confirmed kills plus another 34 probables (his own account) & reputation as a pilot whose plane was never hit by enemy fire (he was hit by friendly anti-air fire twice though) & he never lost a wingman either. He was also a bit of a prankster it seems.
>Heavenly blonde hair
>Angelic blue eyes
Erica embodies the national image of Karlsland!
You know, mostly.
>Erica embodies the national image of Karlsland!
she lacks the Prussian discipline drilled into German soldiers ever since the foundation of the German empire (and before that into just Prussian soldiers)
You're a funny guy. I'll kill you last. You are deluded if you think that the character's personalities are written to match their counterparts apart from the most shallow ways. The characters are heavy on cliches regarding their countries of origin. The author must have done some intricate study regarding finnish people to create a character with such finnish traits.
All I found fast was this.
Navy seems to have swimsuits + jackets and army has some traditional style suits or jackets.
Nigga, the subs are out in a hour or so as has been every week.
Yeah, it's honestly more so this. Sanya for example doesn't hit any typical stereotypes I'd connect with Russians. Fumikane seems to be really interested in war stuff with how much little details he gets right with his stuff so he has definitely read his books on European front.
That's what I meant, specifically these arm and neck armors(?).
I have this odd vague memory of some relatives saying they acknowledged her and that's it. I might remember wrong though.
Can't wait for the new anal play doujins.
I guess waiting few hours is tough before starting to worrying over it.
For fug sakes anon, the Yeager picture with fig and stuff is a obvious edit from many years ago. I've told at least hundred times this year alone that the only thing we know about Yeager is that his internet representative acknowledged Shirley and that's it.
Can't wait for next anon ask about this next month.
According to >Stalker threads, rather decent despite delays and poor quality.
That wasn't Yeager himself who was in charge of handling MySpace. We can only guess whether the agent told Yeager or not.
We still don't know for sure whether he knows or not. God, this will never end will it?
It'll probably do well. Even with the delay on the BD, if it comes out that it really was improved then this will definitely sell. Not as much as the previous season but well enough.
Episode was alright. I could listen to Nipa's voice for hours.
Make sure to pay attention and see if you can catch the Krupi animation they use twice!
Next episode might be a blast.
I w-was drunk when I saw that picture.
please no bully
>Gathered the fuck out of Witches OSTs and other CDs
>But there's nothing of Sanya's night time singing or the Neuroi's mimic of it
God damn why. Sanya's singing is really nice and the Neuroi's version is so creepy. I want both dammit, but you can't get them because too much noise in the episode over them.
Also, Sakamoto is best.
>please no bully
this is 4chan, so chances there's always some retard with a low self-esteem just waiting for an excuse to get on people's nerves, they have /b/ where they can all troll each other to their hearts content, yet they can't stay there, they absolutely have to ruin the day for people on other boards as well...
Yeager's twitter is an experience and a half. He's one sour old fart.
Imagine 80 year old Shirley saying BUY MY BOOK every time you asked her a question.
I'll bully you over it whether you want it or not. Even when Aurora drinks so much she's capable of fighting in a battle with senses straight.
Huh, what? But 'Sanya's no Uta' song is a proper track on one of the CD's, or do you want specifically the episode singing or something? Neuroi singing is a whole other matter.
And yes, Sakamoto is amazing.
Sanya no Uta is the piano with a different singer doing a very low hum, but what I'm looking for is the singing she does in the episode.
The Neuroi singing back is just spooky and I love it, but I at least would like Sanya's singing as a track in the OST.
>He's one sour old fart.
Nah he just tells it like it is like all old people should be.
Was it? Huh, my bad then. Yeah, the neuroi singing was creepy as hell.
But it's weird that they didn't make Mai sing it when she's pretty good at it.
I've tried going through the episode for parts without noise, but the entirety of Sanya's singing in the beginning has prop/engine noise and then dialogue when the others come by in the plane. And then there are only a couple spots for about one second each with the Neuroi that's not covered in noise.
I hate this because there's no way to get it without having super professional studio tier know-how and equipment to take things out. And even then it's probably pretty hard.
"It's a father's job to give life advice to his daughter." Sensei is not impressed.
SL said they wanted to make a more serious season and somehow that meant also removing the juicy yuri things despite featuring more dyke squadron than 501st.
Still, there's at least 6 episodes left for them to redeem that at some level.
You're exactly the type of person who can benefit from the bantz and teachings of Chuck.
Jose has a crush on Bunny. Her stalking should've tipped you off.
Edy is tsun for Krupi too. Nipa has the hots for someone outside 502nd, for better or worse.
Read the thread.
Looks alpha as fuck to me. Canadians have that scandinavian/swedish tendency for extensive briefings with zero point other than making everyone feel like a special fucking snowflake.
He's telling how it is. That would be mean if he said it to the kid's and the father's face in real life but it's the cold hard truth on the internet. If he told some philosphy bullshit to every poor fucker who tried to get their kid some attention from an astronaut it would be a fucking full day job for his ass.
Pretty good episode regardless. Nipa/Sasha development and some Sasha character development and backstory.
Still mad at Edytha for belittling Sasha's ability saying "Too bad it's useless in combat." She of all people should now how useful perfect memory could be, especially for a commander. Sasha would never forget a battle plan, never forget a map, never forget where the core is in neuroi types she's fought before, etc.
>Show had delays as it is,and now they are delaying it even more
because they want to make monies out of people wanting their anime the week it becomes available, I used to be premium member but decided there weren't enough series I wanted to watch to justify the cost, esp. when some of teh series I wanted to watch were region-restricted & circumventing the restriction also started costing money...
If episode 4 wasn't enough to make you understand with Hikari's falls, then yes, their magic cover shields their entire bodies in some ways even without the magic circles visible, as long their familiar powers are called forth. Strength, agility and senses are all strengthened when summoning witch powers forth.
But she didn't say that. Rossman was telling Sasha to use her magic for things beside fixing stuff because she's their combat commander. That's like saying that 'you have this amazing magic that can be really useful in battle, so please start using it. Literally opposite of useless.
The TL was "You're the combat leader, I wish you could use your power for something other than repairs."
Doesn't sound to me like Rossmann is prodding her to do better, just that she was lamenting on it while foreshadowing the ending. Maybe it's a bad tl, wouldn't be the first ti e CR tl'd something ambiguously or flat out wrong, but it doesn't seem that way.
You should leave /a/ while you still can friend.
whatever happened to the old witches phase, it just came and went and nobody picked up on it
Why give a shit about the 'fans' then? Others shouldn't any impact on how you perceive characters. Stop being silly.
And yeah, honestly you'd been better off by never been to these threads to begin with.
Nothing happened, read >>149817612
>Did she do both of the twins at the same time?
my guess is she considered doing Ursula, but after seeing her experiments she decided to maintain a safe distance at all times...
There's nothing wrong with how they TL that line. However you perceived that line is up to you. Just wanted to clarify that Rossman never belittled Sasha's ability by calling it useless.
Yeah, well, maybe you should go.
>[CR] Brave Witches - 06 [720p].mkv
Did you even read what it was a response to?.. It was about their skills regarding fighting. Misfits are a support squad for this reason to begin with.
They keep flirting with the idea Ground Witches, would be awesome to see some this season.
You know, for something that was supposed to be an important plot point, this is some sloppy continuity.
Lots of bad CG this episode.
Was fun episode, though the shitty cgi was really apparent now with how much there was it in this episode, not that is any news. Also they had the damn gun ratata sound on for like 50% of the first part.
Who would've thought that the best episode so far would have least Hikari? In fact there wasn't others much at all either, making it really a Nipa and Sasha episode, as it should be.
The neuroi was pretty goofy, also neuroi Longinus spear projectiles now as exploding long-range artillery? Pretty amusing.
As a winter fetishist all the snow and snowy town scenes were great fanservice.
The cgi in this alley scene looked like straight from the 90's Windows screensaver.
Why do they need to appear in this series? I'm not trolling but since the 501st just destroyed the hive they disbanded so I seriously don't get why they would appear in a completed squad.
Yes I'm an anime only fag.
Yeah, can't deny that. Decent amount of good background shots in this episode with details for once.
Hah, probably. They better do, they better do..
This season is set between S1 and 2, during that time Eila and Sanya were traveling around this area. Which is why they could have the perfect opportunity to have them on screen SINCE they fucking did not make an OVA for the two. This is anime only stuff too, how come you didn't know this? The two of them are most popular 501st witches yet they get least screen time, it wouldn't be justice if they don't get something at least.
actually those two visits were one and the same, but the visit has been featured twice already, sure this is *long* before the events of the movie, but still why couldn't they visit Nipa when they seem to have the time?
Also, Sasha's mother is really beautiful. More witch moms shown is always good.
Don't bury the axe yet, there's still 6 episodes left. They keep teasing about ground witches too constantly, making me think that Aurora might hop out anytime.
She has pantyhose.. just like Nipa and Sasha have as well. Also, all of them wear pants.
>Lots of close up and still shots of CG today.
The only reason the CG is passable is because there's either distance between the 'camera' and the characters or they're are moving around rapidly. Having a still shot of them close up is the worst thing you could do.
Hopefully the BDs will fix it
I could still see it happening since they're job is to act as clean up crew and the series has only shown Nipa as the one who breaks her Striker Unit.
On the bright side, at least they acknowledged the Ground Witches as existing so there is always a chance.
I like how they're now creating completely unique types of Neuroi that have utility instead of 'World War II prototype that flies around lasering things.'
I want to seem more actual evidence of an always active passive shield, especially because you see them use shields for some falls and Hikiari's weaker magic would make it even more challenging.
The one thing I'm noticing is how they're using the same 4 songs in every, the opening, briefing, first attack and final assault. They're simple and solid, so it's easy to overlook them.
Ok, I guess? It just throws me off how free theu are if that's the reason though.
I'm sorry, I guess I don't care enough to take down where everyone went after the series ended. Or open a map.
You can make anything with war as your writing basis, let it be a supply visit closer to front or protecting a convoy. Use your imagination.
Strengthening one's body when calling upon witch powers is canon, it's why they can wield so heavy weapons with ease despite not everyone sharing some inherent magic like Trude's superpowers. It'd make sense it applies to body as well in form of reinforcing it a bit, only for bigger falls they show up with magic circles, like in the movie when Shizuka fell, she got few magic circles below her before falling on ground.
It's fine, now you know at least. Also they were 'free' because 501st was disbanded during the time. Eila originally fought on Eastern front, so she's familiar with the area and some of the witches here from before like Nipa and Aurora too.
Teary Sasha really makes one feel it in the heart.
She's so genki and cheerfully open for her comrades always it's amusing how much of a opposite she is to Eila.
And they say Finns are shy quiet introverts with autism. Nipa's really breaking some barriers there.
>Also they were 'free' because 501st was disbanded during the time.
Didn't they have actual military stuff to do there? It wasn't like they were discharged like Miyafuji. The show kept harping on shortage of night witches so I thought they would be deployed to do night scouting somewhere.
I'm just playing devil's advocate at this point.
My brain's telling me they in fact did not have military obligations in the area, they simply can decide where to go, but if the duty calls for fighting they're ready since they have their striker units with them at all times. Thus, since they want to find Sanya's parents they went back north-east, which also happens to be the front line, depending on if they're in Kauhava or Petersburg or some other place with witches.
It's not just you, there has been replies like yours in every thread.
Now that's some odd taste Satan. S1 was better than 2. This season is easily the weakest, and even with the cgi (hopefully) fixed for BD's among other things it's not going to change.
>Maybe they visited Eila's parents.
that raises a question; the Juutilainen family was from Viipuri, relatively close to Leningrad/Petersburg, if Petersburg has been evacuated, Viipuri most likely has been as well, so where would Eila's family be? real-world figures suggest the southern coast of Finland, but that seems hardly any safer than Viipuri with that Neuroi nest "Anna" where it is...
Baltland aka Sweden/Norway is always an option for the Finnish refugees. Lots of Finns took refuge there during the wars too in real life.
S1 was good but suffered the same issues that this season is suffering from i.e. introduction episodes for a pair of characters each episode
S2 was better as they were all established characters who did things other than just respond to Monster of the week.
This season is a return to the S1 structure but at least the enemies in this season are a lot more interesting than the ones in S1. The weather control Neuroi and this Artillery/Pathfinder Neuroi are better than all the original S1 Neuroi enemies.
Shit taste, namefag.
This season is better than the first season. The 502nd are a much more interesting group than the 501st.
Your taste is bad and has been consistendly bad for 6 weeks now.
Might be for the best. Moving stitches are always a pain and sometimes there are errors in them that you can't avoid. But 4chan's images have been slower to load lately and sometimes they don't load at all. Did you try the archive?
good point, though vast majority of the people evacuated to Sweden were children sent there into foster homes, partly to be safe from bombing but also to make sure they don't starve (Finland had severe food shortages throughout the war as the able-bodied farmers were all at front & Germany used food aid as a tool for getting Finnish government to do their bidding, something which Finnish government wasn't very willing to do even when threatened with cutting off the food aid)
I disagree with S2 better, just because it built on the characters more in depth because S1 happened doesn't make it better alone, for me at least.
S1 had something Gonzo nailed in style really well with doing the Fumi magic work on screen and all the individual story episodes that happened, compared to S2 ones.
I'm a bit amused to see two anons favor S2 now over S1 when few months ago 'everyone' was shitting on S2 openly.
Whatevs anon, opinions are opinions. I agree with you that 502nd is more interesting but the season itself is awfully done and there's a huge portion of lost potential scrapped with the creation and introduction of Hikari into the squad along Takami into the season.
Aye, but in this war setting everyone evacuated from the dangerous areas away. It'd make very well sense for most Suomus families to reside in Baltland in the meanwhile till things are stabilizing. Taking refugee as far in England seems a bit excessive when Baltland is relatively safe and so close.
>But 4chan's images have been slower to load lately and sometimes they don't load at all.
Oh, glad I wasn't the only one.
Citation needed. Granted it does make sense in the terms of firearms since Miyafuji was having trouble holding her gun when she didn't have her magic. But you can't compare lifting an Rifle to a several ton steel beam.
Witch magical fuel cannot melt them either
Do not sexual the sensei.
The one thing that bugs me is the lack of supporting personal. Makes sense budget wise to not animate them, but having a hanger be completely devoid of weaponry and parts, or having other mechanics repairing Nipa's Striker Unit while everyone else is fighting, let alone preparing for them to all return really rubs me the wrong way. It's not like the 502nd has misandry laws like the 501st.
Needed to be like 30 percent more puffier
I don't have any citations for you, witches use guns and equipment that a small girl would never be able to lift properly, not to mention battle with in combat for aerial sorties. I'm getting tired but my mind is remembering some scenes where witch powers were utilized in a way it shows that they indeed strengthen them.
The emptiness of main hangar is a bit weird indeed, and the fact Sasha is like Nipa's only mechanic allowed to touch her striker units from this episode. As for solely prioritizing the animating of witches, well that's good for me the way I like it.
Not even cozy sweater woozles can stand in the way of true love.
I've seen a 7 year old kid shoot a BAR standing. I'm sure a 17 year old girl could manage.
I'm talking about combat situation here with aerial sorties that can last for hours. That is not something a 7 year old kid can do.
Most witches save for few are really thin and feminine too, when their bodies should be really fit and all, but it really doesn't look that way, because that wouldn't be very cute. Magic does things as always here. When in doubt, it's magic.
Also come on, BAR is just one of the many guns witches use. Erica had MG42, MP40 and ammo belts and pouches in the movie as her armament gear.
Brave Witches -Nipa is rather different from the one depicted in the manga about number 24 squadron of Suomus air force, as for her nature; real-world Nipa was from Helsinki, while the stereotypical Helsinki-dweller is pretty much the same as the stereotypical New-Yorker, I can certainly see someone from there being more outroverted than someone from, say, Tavastia (my home province btw) who certainly are the reason for the introvert -stereotype (silent but hard-working people), Eila's temper can explained by her Karelian blood (basically Karelians are "the Italians of Finland"; emotional and quick-tempered, but equally fast to calm down), Nipa's softness isn't exactly typical of Helsinki-dweller as far as stereotypes are concerned, but it's not considered atypical of them either.
Naruhodo. Though better not forget that early Nipa indeed was really tomboyish and with quick temperament before she mellowed out to be a angel like now. Goddamn what a transformation that is.
>and the fact Sasha is like Nipa's only mechanic allowed to touch her striker units from this episode
it's pretty standard to have each ground crew service certain plane (the running gag in a lot of movies and books is that each plane is 'personal property' of the chief of the ground crew servicing it & the pilot is only borrowing it), Sasha being an officer could certainly make ground crews back off once they take notice of her insistence on servicing Nipa's unit.
No, there's really no point to using shotguns in the air when you can use 13mm guns or even 20-30mm auto-cannons and sometimes even bigger cannons.
I'm 100% sure there isn't a single witch out of 160 witches that uses sidearm as a main primary weapon.
Pistol calibers aren't effective to neuroi, you'd need some sort of magical ability with this and as far I know there aren't any witch with powers like that. It'd be pretty special to have a witch using sidearm as her weapon, we'd know surely about it.
we have seen witches use their magic to guide their bullets as well as witches throwing knives & channelling their power through them to take out Neuroi, I bet there are also witches who can use their magic to turn a .45 ACP bullet into something with the destructive power of a 20mm autocannon round.
remember, a bullet fired from a 1911 isn't much different from one fired from a Thompson, we have seen plenty of witches use SMGs to take out Neuroi, I'm sure with practice a witch could use her magic to give the extra boost to the bullet(s) lost in pistols due to the shorter barrel...
I'm talking about canon, the 160 witches we know about. For all we know and guess-work imagine about, there can be a witch for anything, I'm not disclosing that possibility. Anon wanted to know whether there was sidearm using witch and the answer to that is no, for now.
For when you run out of ammo. Miyafuji and Shirley had sidearms designated for them originally in the info material, however we never see them using them past Fumi's art. Not to mention they've never had pistol holsters on them in any art.
There's art of Miyafuji and I think Dominica using their sidearms (though Miyafuji's M712 is questionably canon anymore). Not main weapons, no, but Dom and Eugenia are shown using Thompsons, and Nipa a KP/31. Erica explains in her himegoe that she doesn't use her MP40 much anymore because it's not effective against newer large-type Neuroi, so it depends on the situation really. They were effective for a few years for general combat at the least.
Krupi's STG is holding up, and that's an intermediate round, so I don't think the rifle rounds from their machine guns are just barely making the cut or anything.
Yes, it's a thing in Japan. You could've just googled it.
You can just adjust the heat.
I assume its similar to boiling water in a plastic bottle. The heat transfers quickly into the water so the metal doesn't get too hot. And because of the amount of water and high heat capacity of the water, it takes a while for the water to get to scalding/boiling point.
It's the fact that there's a difference between using muscles and taking blunt trauma in how the body reacts. Keep in mind, Hikari managed to split an artery in her face by just by banging her head on a Strike Unit.
Also even if they are throw away background characters, like the ones who showed up after the attack on the observation tower, at least make it so that the base doesn't look like a tomb.
When they showed Nipa's Striker units in episode 3, they were being repaired by the regular ground crew. While it could be because Aleksandra took personal interest in the repairs, but the crew chief wasn't even around. I can see how it's unnecessary world building, but it's still annoying.
One winged Witch references eh?
I could see witch using something like a revolver where they infuse each bullet and use to how it's designed, more attention is put into individual shots as opposed to just unloading an entire magazine from a semi auto.
Also it would only be used as a finisher weapon as opposed to standard one.

not sure which post you were replying to

you got me
The head injury could be explained by the fact a witch can channel her strength appropriately as well lower defenses, so Hikari was able to create that injury with her smash. They already showed the throwaway background characters in third episode, there's no need to really show them anymore. It's not different from S1 and 2 either in this regard with how empty the bases felt like.
Revolver witch could be pretty baller. I can't help but imagine some sort of Ocelot looking Orussian witch doing it.
Simple, frogs go well with everything. Though I can't say I've heard or seen much of the last one at all.
Light novel? For some reason I thought the prequel thing with Naoe as MC that was released few weeks ago was a manga. Oh well, yeah, no translations ever. Better step up that nihongo game.

I believe O'Hare carries a revolver (or was it a pair, can't remember), she shot up the hut in which the Suomus Misfits Squadron's first briefing was held, intending to fire blanks as a unique greeting but had accidentaly loaded live rounds instead of blanks, the fact that she *has* live rounds for her revolver(s) indicates she carries it/them to battle.
Neato, as expected of crazy Liberians. That'd explain this fan art piece too.
If that were the case, it would be much more logical for them to put up shields to visualize them tanking attacks. I don't see much credibility in the 'Nanomachines, son' explanation since it was never touched upon in the show.
They showed some, but it's not like SW where the personal is forbidden from interacting with the pilots so it's just off putting.
I've seen enough of this before to know where this is going.
Logical, what? They have initial strength boost to senses and body when activating witch powers and that's literally it, but for major damage situations they activate shields. The Hikari headbutt was rather unique, really she perhaps just simply put so much strength into her smash that it overrides the defenses of the body. Again, everything literally is magic in this and can be explained with 'lol it's magic' if there's no proper explanation.
Well, off putting maybe for you. Man, it's been years since I saw Grenadier here..
Russia, Finland, Scandinavia...the stories of old paint a picture where, due to the cold, the dark and the depth of the banks of snow, going outside was avoided, meaning entertainment had to be found inside, so before TV the 'activities' were rather limited (alcohol was always a welcome pastime, but one can only drink so much before thing start going downhill, so even that couldn't keep for all winter...)
Well, she does get bullied for saying it.
Doujins are just doujins, just ignore them.
autism only means one's brain is "wired differently", when everyone's brain is "wired differently", those who "are normal" are going to be the weird ones, making the autistic general population get along among themselves just fine, don't you think?
