I honestly prefer it that way. The first time i felt like I had no idea where it was going so it lessened the experience. On the rewatch I didn't have that problem and I enjoyed it 10x more

Ragyo was the villain and killed herself after losing. Nui sacrificed herself for her "mom", staying consistent with what her character always rapresented in opposition to her "sisters". The death of Senketsu made perfect sense from a narrative and thematic standpoint.

I'm rewatching it now and episodes like 19 and 20, with barely any animation, are still miles better than the beginning of the tournament arc, with its horrid art and direction. I believe those episodes were outsourced.

I want to re-watch it but I loved kill la kill and that's how I want to remember it, maybe if I watch it again it won't be as good because I will know what is going to happen next.

It would have made far more sense for Satsuki and junketsu to bond, then become the wielder of the other half of the scissor blade so they can both kill their mom.

It gets pretty shit in the middle, the raid trip arc should have been shortened or off screen it was so fucking bad and ruined any potential for a better arc. It gets better once they go back to Honnoji and start the rebellion though.
