One of the most relaxing shows out there, and a very unique SoL.
All the characters are lovable, and everything they do is just charming.

I really hope it gets a second season at some point, because the later manga chapters are excellent and expand on characters who don't get as much development as they would might liked.

It's a bi-monthly series and one chapter is half an episode. It would take at least another year to have enough material and even then it's unsure if they'd want to make another season. The sales were just enough to break even so the only possible profit is from the Aomori tourism promotion campaign but we have no info on how succesful that was.

It doesn't have to be anytime soon, but I don't want Flying Witch to be forgotten as an anomaly.
The characters may have been magical, but everything they got up to and their lives in general were so mundane. It was beautiful. Sometimes that even made setting itself unique for anime; Kei and Chinatsu's parents actually being a part of their children's lives is remarkable enough.

It's a nice series but I have a feeling that the mangaka wants to write some battle series by now and he's licensed at bessatsu so it's not unlikely that he'd switch over. Ishiduka was a rookie mangaka when he started but over the course of the last 4 years of drawing flying witch his art got a lot better so it's not surprising that he'd want to draw something more challenging than just girls playing around.

I literally hate talking animals in my chinese cartoons. Mascots are fine when they are actually characters, but the talking animals in sangatsu for example just seem like awful fempandering garbage.

Oh, I should have clarified. I've watched Flying Witch. I just get unreasonably mad every time there is a scene where those faggot cats screech over dialogue in Sangatsu. I genuinely had to skip the scene with the dog last episode because I was so vexed.
I have no idea why, but this garbage really irks my psyche.
