They're both just Aniplex bitch composers to be thrown onto any project they want to be popular and just roll the same style of soundtracks that could easily be swapped in and out between series without there being a noticeable difference. They're just another part of the whole mass production hype show model that Aniplex has ridden for most of the 2010's so far. Like most of the shit they plug both of them got really old really fucking fast over the course of the 2010's and whatever perceived quality they had at one point in their careers no longer holds any meaning. They're hype because they're hype and "the best" cause Sony says so to people and their soundtracks are barely vetted, just praised for existing. It's all just kind of meaningless and pointless and it sucks cause they're the only two fucking composers anyone will talk about anymore.

At least to say something positive Kajiura doesn't seem to automatically guarantee a shit anime nowadays like Sawano does though, just usually mediocre. Sawano can eat a fucking dick though like most of the trash anime he composes for.

His stuff is servicable in context but pretty bland on its own. Actually it's so bland it fits with almost anything, which is why he can do like 4 shows each season. Same goes for Masaru Yokoyama.

If I find a good Kajiura song that I like, I put it into the Hiroyuki Sawano folder. If I find it passable I rename it with a random number and put it into the others folder.
