The manga infinitely, the JoJo anime has a problem with being able to accurately replicate a lot of the original scenes and mood that the manga had which is on a completely different level of tone.

Rushing Phantom Blood and removing some of the scenes is the first example of this, if you're looking to become a fan of the series you should stick with the original raw form for a true experience of Araki's writing and intent.

Killer Queen makes sense. Kira wants to live a private life, so his stand naturally has the power to erase evidence.

I really do wonder why. I mean, he clearly likes Speedwagon enough to include him in two parts and have him and his Foundation be the big force of good in the series aiding the heroes, and apparently part of the reason why the PB movie was pulled from theaters was the outrage at a lack of Speed Weed (not that I have a source on that).

And while I do dislike how Jonathan and Dio look most of the time, Zeppeli looked pretty cool, and it's not like Speedwagon is hard to draw.

Because if it truly were infinite that would imply two things, one that Diavolo exists in his own pocket dimension that wouldn't be rewritten by MIH and that he would truly experience every infinite possibility meaning every human on earth would kill him an infinite amount of times over including every character from the main VA cast and every character in Stone Ocean.
That doesn't make sense considering we never hear or see him ever again.
To say that this is canon would imply Diavolo no longer exists in the universe and timeline. Which is a far greater stretch and isn't even possible with GER's abilities.

Leaky Eyed Luka was a prick who none of Buccellati's gang mourned, known for selling drugs to children and being a general asshole. Giorno had actively screamed at him not to attack the frog but he did so anyway, sealing his own fate.

And none of La Squadra that he fought were even close to innocent, either. All of them were assassins who wanted to use an innocent girl for their own means, as well as being general dicks.

That's the thing though. Hes stuck for an INFINITE amount of years. What's to say that in a million-billion years the universe won't undergo another big bang that recreates a similar Earth sort of like Pucci's plan.

Given an infinite amount of time, he will experience every infinite possibility. It's actually hard to visualize such a large amount of time.

Which sprite is your favorite?

I think I'd have to go with DIO, it's so full of character. People really put love and attention into it, even moreso than most of the others.

There's quite a bit of differences between the two sprites too, the high DIO one has little details like his fingers curling madly and his movements being more savage and jerky, whereas the normal one is much more calculated and sensual.

I dunno, ASB DIO seemed pretty damn close to me. The iridescent green and general radiance (that subtle purple lipstick does him wonders) really made him seem like a god on par with Kars' magnificence. And his animations were pretty nice too, showing his playful, graceful aspects.

Good taste though, that's a great sprite. It's really cool seeing older stuff like this and how it had to convey feeling with minimal facial expressions due to the faces being like twenty pixels tall.

Oh ASB DIO was god-tier too. In fact, if there's one thing ASB did right was nail down the character expressions and movements, and there's a lot to work with when it comes to DIO since he's so expressive and fluid.
I consider Capcom superior because the liberties they took with some of DIO's animations (the lean back for the eye beams, the full WRRYYYY pose with the bent legs) worked so well they became trademarks for the character. They didn't just adapt DIO, they added their own things to an already iconic character.

In terms of DIO portrayal I'd say it goes

I wonder how different,and tiny, the pre-2010 jojo fanbase would have been if Capcom never gave it the Araki anatomy and exaggerated poses/cries. Johnny is a wonderful JoJo, from a writing standpoint.

In some ways his character is almost unlikable though, outside of his sour personality and never smiling or joking around the main thing he has going for him is the theme of determination and crawling out from the pits of hell and doing whatever crazy madman thing he has to do to obtain his dream.

Johnny hits very close to home due to how truly relateable he is as a sarcastic brutally honest guy, he's genuine in his personality and when he's miserable and depressed he doesn't hide how hard he's always struggled and keeps struggling, seeing him finally win at the end and smile with content was the most satisfying moment in the manga and I will always love Johnny for giving me the courage and bravery to keep fighting for finding my own happiness in life.

Nah. Shitposting aside, Johnny's death-by-boulder wasn't anywhere near as pathetic as it seemed.

Johnny at the start of the race was an aimless, lonely and bitter guy with no friends and no hope. Him acquiring the corpse-parts wasn't really to get his legs to work again, it was because he finally had something to fight for that gave him purpose and made him feel as though he'd be worth something if he got it. And what he learned over his adventure made him a better and more balanced person. Hell, even though people don't like High Voltage for Johnny losing, it really displayed his character-growth. Earlier on, he'd had a one-sided rivalry with Diego because he was never able to beat him, and resented him for it. And he STILL wasn't able to beat him, but he didn't care because everything else was so much more important to him. He wasn't ruled by bitterness and spite anymore.

Obviously he wasn't perfect. But he had a wife and a little son who he absolutely adored, and when it came down to it he was wholly prepared to sacrifice his life for them, and did so. He needed to be reminded of the dangers of the corpse (seeing the horror of it being transferred to his son was enough to destroy any lingering selfishness) but he did it in the end, opting to take the damage himself.

I recall someone posting that everything from part 2 gets dropped. I don't think that's true, Joseph is second most promonent character in the universe and his daughter and son make big waves in the plot for the next two parts. The speedwagon doundation also basically becomes Protagonist HQ for the rest of the universe.

The reason the major lore contribution, pillar men, didn't stick was because they were an expansion of vampire stuff that leaned towards backstory, not the future of the series. Once they were dead, that was it. Araki also clearly hasn't forgotten the concept anyway given part 8.
