This show actually would profit from an anime series.

The world and setting is interesting, plot leaves a lot of ways to expand the story and characters are already fairly well fleshed out. I wish there was more.

If it didn't take Toei like six years to make and they weren't big enough to not be strong armed around by Aniplex like the smaller dirt poor studios they usually like to team up with I'm sure they already would have tried to capitalize on it more already. Granted it got most of it's praise for it's use of CGI as a movie and character design not for the scripts and that's something that is not going to translate nearly as well to television. Like I'm sure people have seen what the average Toei TV series looks like already so I'll just leave it at that.
