The severe lack of Snow White is really noticeable, which is why I hoped the translator would jump into doing Peaceful Days since it tells the story of the Vol.1 girls.

I think Limited does a really good job of capturing the action thriller vibe, plus I really enjoy the villains in it and a majority of the new girls are great, plus we get Ripple in it for some arc 1 recurrence. The character drama was pretty well written so far too, especially with Captain Grace and Funny Trick, and its cool to see Ripple's development

That's my point though, even if the adaptation is good (or well-received, popular or whatever your standard for success is) I hate being left with the feeling that I've only seen a tiny slice of the overall story which may be so long that it renders what I've just watched almost pointless.

My biggest problem with Re:Zero was how drawn out all the whole thing seemed while still making little real progress - how many more seasons would it need before the story is "finished"? Nobody can answer that, given the source material isn't complete. I really wanted to like Yuuki Yuuna since I'm a sucker for the genre, but the anime being only a small part of a much broader story (without even hinting at this fact in the adaptation) made it extremely unsatisfying, particularly with the awful ending. It's getting another season now, sure, but I didn't know that when I watched it so it soured my opinion.

This complaint really applies to any kind of adaptation but I find it particularly bad with LN adaptations, given LNs seem to run on the rule that more is better.

I think this works better anime wise because, even though there are interconnecting plot threads, most of the stories function pretty well as stand alones, Restart works well and has a solid conclusion, even if there is more to adapt, each novel so far has ended on a fairly satisfying note, and they get better as they go on, so I'd count it as a plus for this particular adaptation

Well Restart has kind of almost double the pages that Vol.1 has but a lot of it can be skipped down to fit a 12 episode show.

I don't really see any possibility they would make a 2-cour show for a 2nd Season when the 1st was only 1-cour.

If a 2nd Season with Restart happens, sure a lot of stuff will be cut, but it can still work without any issues I think. Which will end up being better than nothing.
