Prologue - Anomalies in The Other Worlds

The princess twins are reminiscing about Souji and Ryruna's not so tsun tendencies for Souji. Loel showing more of her bitchier side when the other girls get brought up and how they're ganging in on their husband to be. Siscon
Ryruna finds that side of her absolutely lovely, everything about her really. That said, they make sure that the public and servant never sees that themselves lest they find themselves disillusioned in their idol.

Suddenly, Loel seems to have a PTSD episode and goes on about elemarians being in their world. Ryruna runs to the terrace and sees that the fields are normal and assures her older sister everything's okay.

She's wrong however as an elemarian shows up in the sky above the fields where the Twintails fought the Noble Club and tons of elemarians suddenly materialize themselves, including a particularly gargantuan one. They try to come grip with what's coming but then as suddenly as the elemarians appeared, they vanish into thin air.

C1 Grasp Those Twintails

First line is, "Nopan!"

The twintails are off fighting another God A Sword elemarian, Wyvern Guildy. He's the fifth one they've dealt with since Gryphon Guildy and they've been proving themselves to be exceptional fighters and exceptional perverts. He's basically what you'd expect but with much stumpier legs. He's been waiting at the bottom of an incredibly long escalator at a certain theme park that doubles as both transport and as an attraction. The guests have been evacuated by Mega Ne so nobody's coming down it but he staunchly refuses to move from his spot.

Aika's being cautious and hasn't jumped the guy yet but then he reveals that his affinity is of the Nopan(Going Commando) and insults Aika calling her a Nopai(No Boobs) resulting in her jabbing her fingers into his eyes. An engrish pun joke about no food is made in there but this is just the first of many such jokes this volume. I swear the author has to be studying up languages between books just for these translation unfriendly jokes.

They point out that even if he waits around no one is coming and if they did he'd be hard pressed but he explains that nopan isn't about whether or not women actually are going commando but the romance of whether or not they actually are when one looks at their bottom at just right angle. Think Aqua from Konosuba and all those threads of her schrodinger panties. The illustration here is just something he'd figure would work better on Red than the tailgear. That said he's glad that the skirt armor provides a nopan angle.

Aika goes in for a kick but Wyvern counters it with a kick from his spot breaking through most of the tailgear's protective layers and armor on her leg as he proudly shows off the fruits of mastering the art of the air chair.

Wyvern gets into a spiel of why 2D nopan is better than genuine nopans and Souji questions the logic of liking something because it doesn't exist. Wyvern shoots back that such love of things is the power of elemera at work and Souji gasps at how he's been doing so with the twintails he doesn't see too.

"Don't worry! But keep on your guard anyway! I definitely won't let you and the others get Nopan'd by him!"

"It's not like like I'm absolutely against nopan, it all comes down to who gets to see that..."

Yellow quietly smiles and stares Aika a silent "That's no good". Twirl chimes in that while Wyvern may not use the power, his elemera orb might contain such an ability that she could use on Souji. Aika claims she wouldn't fight for a stupid reason like that but notes they'll need to test out the orb at some point. Souji notes that she didn't explicitly reject Twirl's suggestion on using it on him. Somewhere in this volume Twirl objects to Aika's good girl facade when even she has to admit Aika is the much thirstier one between them.

Souji takes out his sword and this is where Aika reveals why she didn't just massacre the guildy right out the bat, she was worried that these God A Sword elemarians would have especially deviant powers and suspects Wyvern's is to forcibly nopan his targets. Turns out it's not he'd never want to use such an ability to get a look at Blue's secret spot.

Black and Yellow chip away at Souji's common sense with their stances on stripping in public and the former goes for an attack from a dead angle but Wyvern stops it barehanded without looking. In his pursuit for nopan he's managed to maximize his awareness of viewing angles to cover such things. That's when Souji realize a horrifying truth - Wyvern has barely moved from his spot since the start of their battle.

The escalator then starts turning on and who else but Twirl as Kamen Twintail would be riding it down posed like a gunbuster.

"Hmph.... So you stress upon the mental aspect of the subject? That rather seeing the real thing, the uncertainty impressed upon you where you can't tell if they're wearing it or not is where the true wonders of nopan lie? Well then, I ask you this: have you ever witnessed a true nopan yourself? I'm talking about the genuine article that you'd compare them to here!!"

"No... That's... well...! I haven't..."

"...*smirks audibly*"

"I am one of God A Sword after all...! I'm one of the elites so I don't get many chances to sortie...! I can't help not having seen a real one...!!"

"I suppose that as an elemarian there is no helping that since you would have more trouble with it than any human would... However! Without having experienced the genuine article as a point of reference, that love you speak of on its virtual pretense has no bearing in reality! Your love hasn't any persuasive power to it!! Your preaching of your creed when you have never seen a true nopan rings out as hollow as a porn drawn by a virgin!"

With nothing he could argue back with, Wyvern is shaken to his core and falls to his knees. Twirl chirps off her farewell and turns back to leave. She then with an ack realizes which way the escalator won't let her go.

Souji consoles the guildy at his existential crisis and tells him he can have whatever fetishes he wants but if he causes trouble they have to come out and deal with him. Aika bemoans this softheartedness while Souji reasons that he hasn't really cause much trouble and doesn't fight dirty like Grypho Guildy so they could just let him go. A grateful wyvern then says:

"Thank you Tail Red! In that case, could you show me a real nopa-"
The other three shift into their power up modes instantaneously. Declaring they'll protect Red's special spot, they give Souji a bout of anamia and finish him Wyvern with a combo maneuver that launches him high into the air for Isuna to blast him to kingdom come.

"Khh... Hahahaha! What a fine angle I have of you Black...! I can't see your underwear from up here! It's a nopan! Looking up wasn't all there was to it, looking down from the air like this is the ultimate nopan sighting spot!"

Then he explodes from an Infinite Banisher. Aika sulks that they didn't get an elemera orb out of this one like the other God A Sword elemarians. Souji wonders about it but he feels like someone is staring at him when thinks back on Crab Guildy but sees no one there. Isuna and Erina take a selfie together since they bonded in the last volume and Souji detects a little jealousy from Twirl at that since she's come to think of Isuna as little sister. He and Mega Ne's hearts are just warmed by how close they are now.

One early 6am morning later Souji gets the idea to touch Tail Red's twintails with his own hands because of his talk with Wyvern. He thinks that if he trains his reflexes enough, he'll be able to grab them mid transformation but the microseconds long transformation makes it difficult.

He checks the room for the girls as per his routine and then repeatedly transforms and detransforms to do so only to find hear Aika in full uniform suddenly call out his name and stare aghast at him in the middle of his room like a ghost from a horror movie. Naturally, he screams like a little girl. Not because he's Tail Red at the moment but because it's Aika.

At first she's silent but then breaks out in calling his name over and over in a mania shaking him vigorously by the shoulders before asking what the heck he's doing.

Souji asks her why this bothers her so much given he regularly gets up to stare at his twintails in the morning and she tells him it's because of that she worries he'll get crazier ideas in his head. He assures her that she's got nothing to worry about and that he's keeping the best distance he can with twintails.

Aika rapidly cycles through a range of emotions before deciding to pick Souji up bridal style and tells him to go to bed telling him he's just tired out and needs to sleep. That's when Twirl breaks in through the door screaming at Aika at her enviable/unforgivable action of carrying and putting Tail Red to bed.

They get into a wrestling match with Souji literally stuck in between them. Twirl declares that's Aika's actions and tendency for violence make her very existence criminal. Aika's stance - POWER IS ONLY JUSTICE.

Souji slips out and detransforms. Exasperated by ruckus they're making he grabs them by the wrist and throws them down on the bed. They go quiet, docile and meek. Souji finds it unsettling when a crossarmed Miharu pops up at the door to tell Souji she's proud of her son.

Isuna exits out the cloet closet and whines at how unfair it was to them and snaps a shot to send to Erina whose limo just happened to just reached the house. Aika and Twirl still haven't made a move from the bed.

Meanwhile over at the ultimaguil remnant base, the remnants are all down and bummed out at how God A Sword came and have been completely ignoring them which basically told them that were useless and unwanted. They lost their chance to even fall in battle so there's nothing they can do but be depressed and call out for Tail Red. Mermaid Guildy breaks away the gloom telling them that even if they're not as strong as the God A Sword elemarians all they have to do is just get stronger and she has way to get that done.

C2 Twintail Changer

Back with Souji, they're all making their way to school. Mikoto ask him about why Twirl and Aika are acting they are. Twirl is quietly smiling like an enlightened buddha while Aika is causing severe property damage with the casual chops and kicks, bending the former and bisecting with the latter, she's doing on streetlights as she's skipping around so cheerily.

Souji asks Aika what's up and she tells him she's just so happy to find out that Souji's capable of throwing her down that all her worries of the strange twintailed exercises he does in the mornings are of no concern to her anymore. Souji thinks it's something to do with her training and apologizes and that he'll never do it again but she insists that he keeps on doing so.

"Then... How about we make a deal? I won't say anything more about your morning twintail training anymore... I'll even help you out. In exchange, you'll help with my training."

"That sounds good to me. Trying to grab disappearing twintails is pretty hard..."

"That's why I'd like it if you throw me down like you did earlier... on the bed."

Then she adds he only needs to do it to her, he'll hurt Twirl if she gets thrown too. Twirl vehemently protests to her getting a leg up on her machinations for lewdness. Then they go off behind one of the electric poles to reconvene on their future strategies to get Souji to throw them down. Aika suggests Twirl throw the first punch sometimes too but Twirl refuses on the basis that her hand will get maimed just from landing a hit on Aika.

Souji notices Erina's been quiet and she reveals she's been attending to hundreds of messages Isuna sent her. She still hasn't reached the picture she sent that morning. Souji gives her a tip that she doesn't reply back to every one of them and that like 1 per 100 is okay with Isuna. Twirl and Aika regrettably reflect on the impure plans they were making while Erina wasindulging her newfound friendship with Isuna.

Back with ultimaguil, Mermaid Guildy has the remnants pair up as per Yaoi elemera wants them to and explains that they'll be getting stronger through making multiple elemeras reside within them by exposing themselves to other elemera.

She brings out a guildy that's already gone through the process, Chameleo Guildy who looks like he's ready to explode from drinking too much coffee and staying up several nights.

Some days later after school Isuna strolls in through the locker happy about the new single she's working on and greets Erina with a double high five. Twirl cattily remarks upon how easily Isuna moves from woman to woman like a slut.

Aika complains that it feels like she's the only left out that doesn't get along with Isuna. Isuna shoots back she finds it scary that Aika wants her to love her and tells her to just settle for being Twirl's girlfriend. Isuna's got an agreement with Erina the Souji is her boyfriend and Erina's fiancee. Souji takes note to watch out for any signs of the two of them sneaking off to get into an all out fight of befriending like Erina and Isuna did the previous volume.

Since they didn't have anything planned for today Isuna gets Souji to go out and play with her. Twirl interrupts coming up with an improvised topic they should talk about - the lack of elemera orbs from the God A Sword elemarians.

They reason that missing elemera orbs can't be based on their power levels given that they've gotten them from super strong ones before and it can't be that they fear the twintails enough to take measures against making them stronger since they had plenty of time to get that done. Isuna backs that up saying their Elemeration ability wasn't a concern even when she was in charge of Beauiful Heart.

They then get into how Isuna's dropping the suffixes when calling Erina. She still calls Souji with a -san because he's her boyfriend. Twirl feels distant since she still gets a -san too which she explains it's because she's a woman from her past. Aika asks about herself, Isuna replies Flatty-san. Aika tries to coerce her into being friends with her but the elemarian alert goes off just in time.

They arrive to find themselves at cosplay convention full of twintail cosplays. Yellow remarks dejectedly that they're almost entirely of Tail Red. They spot the elemarian near the entrance - it's Chameleo Guildy. He introduces himself as the elemerian of mainly the Red Hair affinity. They're surprised to see it's not a God A Sword guildy and he bemoans the lack of naturally red haired girls in their world.

He then asks if Red could answer a long held question he's held for years with a really awkward laugh:

".............Are red haired girls... completely red everywhere...?"

Aika immediately socks him the face. Souji doesn't understand what he's asking but notices even the bystanders are creeped out by the question. Aika gets into a scuffle with him but he gets her to back away with his tentacle-like tongue.

He starts charging up a red aura like a super saiyan but then the color and elemera shifts one by one to Blue, Gold and Black hair. He's got four affinities in him. He unleashes his power and a flash blinds them all.

Souji looks around and sees that his twintails have turned blue and the others have hd their colors switched around too. Aika's Yellow, Erina's Black and Isuna's Red. Mega Ne's unaffected.
The bystanders dig the refreshing pallete change but the Twintails find their heads aching badly from what Chameleo Guildy did to them.

"Shit... What the heck is this. I can feel this immense impulse to destroy filling me up inside...!? Ugh, gh, just by looking at an elemarian it makes me want to beat it up indiscriminately...!!"

"Of course you would. You had Tail Blue's personality moved over to you...!!"

Chameleo explains what he's done and Twirl says that can't be since the tailgear specializes against mental attacks since one's spirit is the source of the tailgear's strength.
While the crowd gushes over Red's new look. Aika clings to Souji and asks to be punished for letting her guard down. Erina's gone all stalker gloomy, Isuna's high on hotblood talking like Red. The switch is tracing over the bad traits of their current color's personalities hence the major shift in attitudes. Souji's got some questions if how overbearingly hotblooded Isuna's acting is really his personality.

Souji's doing his best to resist the urge to destroy and Chameleo provokes him into attacking by calling him flatchested and that cooling colors bring out one's flatness. Souji feels the anger explode in him like nitro.

He start yelling Blue's usual lines and mounts and pummels Chameleo but it's not very effective and ends up being an adorable sight instead. He tries to fix his weakened state by summoning the the twintail brace to shift into Ultimate Chain mode but it won't appear. The others can't use their power-ups either because of the personality overwrites affecting them so drasticly.

Mega Ne makes to fight since they can't but Chameleo buckles over and starts releasing sparks since the new power he's got is taking its toll on his body. He decides to make a retreat before its gets fatal.

Meanwhile over in Mermaid Guildy's lab, Phoenix Guildy is frustrated over how bad a hit the Twintails took from Chameleo. Mermaid Guildy compares their performance to a baseball thing and Phoenix is surprised at her knowledge of sports. She says she picked it up from all the sports in BL manga.

Phoenix demands she comes up with her end of the deal as promised for helping out with her research and she says not to be in such a rush to fight the leader. She passes over a disc to Phoenix she calls the Marchpass Cube and explains that it's a one way ticket to the leader's domain. Phoenix asks if she's got anymore but she says just one will do since she's only needs to go there once.

Phoenix leaves and once she's sure of it, Mermaid uses on of the disks herself. She's greeted by a robed elemarian she calls Var-chan, the war goddess of God A Sword. She tells Mermaid not to let undesirables come under the leader's eyes lest he become concerned with them. Mermaid just greets her and says she just happened to have some business with her.

Back with the twintails, the detransform back at base and a panting flushed Aika asks Souji to chastise her like Twirl is for being so useless in the battle. Erina's acting all depressed and Isuna's still all gung ho even in tracksuit mode. The personality overwrites still affect them outside of the tailgear.

C3 Colors of The Soul

Back at their base, the twintails are finding all the trouble with having their personalities mixed up like this. Twirl reasons out that the personality shifts are actual personality switches but some like a self-suggesting trance where they act in how they perceive the others. Since they're all used to each others' quirks, that's what has the most effect on them.

Aika's relieved to know that Souji isn't getting ALL her personality's traits so his blindside is preventing him from being clued in on just how thirsty she really is for Souji. The masochist planted in her thinks that'd be good in its own way too though. Erina is put out by how much Aika actually seems to be enjoying being a masochist.

Since Erina thinks Isuna's a gloomy stalker that's what she's acting out but seeing Aika weakly resist the urge to strip makes want to her strip down to her undies lazily. Isuna's hotblooded behaviour is from Souji's hotblood but it's more like the kind from a kid's manga rather than how Souji really behaves. Twirl is miffed she's missing out on the festivities they get to have and not having Aika chime in with her tsukkomi/violence is throwing her off.

Other than having to ask Aika how she's even capable of living with the massive amount of desire to destroy residing in her, Souji does seem to be largely unaffected. Then his mom, in evil general cosplay, tries to remind him about one other trait Aika has as he gets a look at Twirl's cowtits.

'...huh? Why do I feel so irritated looking at Twoearle's chest?'

"Guh, ah, agh... Wh-what is this force...!? This hatred that's so far beyond what I felt when I looked at the elemarians is eating away at my whole body...!!"

"So it's "begun" then... That emotion you're boiling up with right now is Aika's essence. This is where your true battle begins Sou-chan."

Back at the elemarian remnants base, the guildies are all cheering Chameleo Guildy for the fruits of his efforts. They gush over how cute Tail Red looks in Blue and remark how Tail Blue had turned the once hopeful color into becoming the color fear and terror. Somewhere later on it's mentioned that Tail Blue had caused the economic demand for the color blue itself to plummet worldwide but it gone way back up since Tail Red is sporting it now.

The see Tail Blue in yellow now in their battle review and they panickedly move onto the others for fear of her suddenly stripping.

They sympathize with Yellow since turning black makes it look like she just fades away into the shadows drawing even less attention to herself than before. When they get to Isuna, they all just agree she should not be in red and bring up an incident where she was dressed like Tail Red before back when she was in charge. It's probably from the 2nd or 3rd EX BD novels.

Outside the hall, Sparrow Guildy is trying to ease Chameleo Guildy's painful spasms. Chameleo tells him not to feel bad about it since it was his choice to go down this road. Old man Sparrow can't help but feel the pain of his powerlessness.

Back with the gang Souji is profusely apologizing for fondling Twirl. She just laughs victoriously at it and elatedly discuss it with Miharu. His reflex training to grab his twintails backfired on him and now he's got boob-seeking hands.

Aika asks Mikoto to take care of Souji and make sure Twirl doesn't get away with her antics while she's down with masochism. Mikoto agrees with usual marrying insistence but asks Souji not to fondle her breasts since it's embarassing. Souji tells her to punch him if he does but Twirl tells Mikoto that she's got it all wrong and she shouldn't be so embarassed about it given her marriage prospects. The revelation depresses her significantly.

Souji sees how badly the personality overrides are affecting Erina and Aika so he decides to change their twintails to their matching personalities' ones tolighten things up somewhat. They find that it helps but it raises the question on how narcissistic Souji would be given how Isuna's reacting to her hairstyle change

Souji wakes up next morning to feeling way too sluggish to do his morning twintail exercises like he'd been cursed. He notices a load of marriage forms around him and concludes the reason behind it.

Mikoto greets him after a night of guarding him from Twirl. She's all too willing to do it for Erina's sake.

He looks to Erina's doghouse expecting to see her there but instead finds Aika. She barely fits but finds that it puts her supremely at ease. Erina herself pops out of his closet saying she finds being inside it and taking a whiff of Souji's scent has the same effect. She says so, hugging Souji's trunks.

"Saying that you can't smell Souji's scent from outside means you've still got a long way to go... I mean I can smell it all the way from my room next door... ehehe.."
"Just for how long are you going to stay in the doghouse Aika-san!? I'm standing right here in front of you and you're not doing a single thing to me! The cells in my body cries in anguish for it!!"

Over in Swan Guildy's cave, he's training himself in the transparent amazon packages trial of the 5 great trials when Mermaid Guildy pays him a visit. She offers him a way to get stronger and notes to herself that her contract period with Phoenix Guildy is up so she's technically free to do what she wills to Swan Guildy.

School assembly is in session and Erina's personality shift is apparent to the student body as she's addressing them.

"Why... am I so childlike... I always invite disappointment..."

Souji feels everyone's piercing gazes on him at that. She tells them she's putting on glasses in hopes of looking more like an adult and tells everyone they should do the same.
Erina steps down from the podium and her mother steps up. Souji worries about what she might say, rightfully.

"Son-in-law... Erina seems to be bothered by her childish self... So please do what you can to make her feel better. She will most certainly grow the way I have. She might be your bride with a juvenile vessel but even very young brides are good if they can devote themselves to their men. If you can come to love her for it...!!"

Twirl approves of her views on loli wives.

It's after school and Souji's somehow managed to not play into Twirl's attempts to make him grope her and the other respectably endowed girls in their school. Even mentions of elemarians make him want to beat things up too. Aika's been resisting the urge to strip in front of everyone and she accidentally calls Souji "Master".

The girls in the class scramble to her excitedly at that slip, one of them confronts Souji about it.

"Huh? Oh, yeah... Of course I do."

"She's only turned to acting all lewd like this because she had to go this far! Aika may be the one who's going to extremes here but I think you have to take responsibility for part of this!!"

Twirl succeeds at landing his hand on her breast but the class doesn't even react to it. Erina pops in and sees the scene and tells Souji to grope her chest instead to calm down since touching big breasts is filling him rage. The guys go wild in cheers while the girls tell him him thus:

"Mitsuka-kun! You know Aika's chest is definitely smaller than the prez right!?"

Twirl bemoans her huge lack of heroine power. Scene finishes with Souji sitting on Aika, the girls cheering for her and Souji worrying about the declining morals of his school.

Similar hijinxes happen back at his mom's cafe except the customers are all just smiling understandingly in approval at their youth. Renka gets involved too and ntrs his boobseeking hands away from Twirl. She doesn't mind if Aika doesn't mind him doing it to her.

Isuna's having trouble with her idol work too. She jumped a twintailed idol and molested her twintails on live tv. Twirl knocks Isuna for mixing her sluttiness with Souji's twintail love and Isuna tells her she doesn't feel anything towards Twirl's hair. She immediately loses her cheerfulness and slaps herself for blurting that, crying. Twirl herself wasn't so bothered by it but Isuna hates the idea of implying Souji felt nothing towards Twirl.

Twirl hugs and pats Isuna to calm her down. Isuna says she's surpised she acknowledges she's within her strike zone in terms of age but Twirl covers it up by saying she's only hugging her because she's taken over by Souji's personality at the moment.

Twirl repurposed an old side novel anti-aika helmet as no. 12 that now overwrites the user's personality with Aika's. Her logic was that one must become Aika to defeat Aika but fails to see the flaw in not extending the overwrite physically too. It doesn't get used though.

Chameleo Guildy shows up again at an abandoned factory where no one's around for his final battle. Isuna's tired herself out from the toll the outburst she just had and the overwrites for Erina and Aika dropped their motivations to fight him rock bottom. Souji sorties alone with Mega Ne on standby at base in case he needs help.

Isuna's tired herself out from the toll the outburst she just had and the overwrites for Erina and Aika dropped their motivations to fight him rock bottom. Souji sorties alone with Mega Ne on standby at base in case he needs help.

Souji meets Chameleo on the battlefield and the latter gets into this whole bit of warrior pride and the Twintails quick victories over their leaders left him, a member of Drag Guildy's unit, without the pride to do battle properly. He may have chosen to take on a procedure that's wracking his body in a lot of pain but it was all worth it to prove that he and his fellow remnants still had what it took to be the proud warriors they were when they first came to this world.

Chameleo tells Souji he's here to go all out and take back his pride even if it'll be his last fight. Souji gladly accepts.

Chameleo puts up a good fight and Souji's base form is too weakened to handle him. Souji gets caught in by Chameleo's tongue but gets an idea from trying to summon the twintail brace. His latests training idea pays off here. He focuses his twintail power on his hand and summons the progress barretas in palm and shoots them out in boomerang mode to get himself free.

Souji shifts into Blue Riser Chain. Souji apologizes for thinking Chameleo would be an easy fight and wants to make up for it with using his first power up. He's also grateful to his first power up not falling into the typical jobbing upgrade role.

Chameleo makes himself invisible but Souji uses his elemera senses to detect Chameleo's twintail elemera. He flushes him out with sword funnels and tells Chameleo that he should be proud since he's given them much more trouble than any of the God A Sword elemarians did as he finishes him off with his Faller to Riser chain shift break release attack - Rising Blazer: Blue Corona.

"...hmm. Red really does become you...!! Drag Guildy-sama! Your unworthy subordinate Chameleo Guildy is coming to your side with his head held high!!"

"...unworthy nothing. Boast it to him as loud as you can Chamelo Guildy. You were hella strong."

Souji turns around and Chameleo explodes. He picks up the new elemera orb and he's shocked to see that it contains all 4 of the affinities he used before.

Over in the leader's dimension Mermaid Guildy is visiting him. Phoenix Guildy still hasn't come by to attack him yet and she wonders why.
Since they beat Tyrano Guildy he doesn't have much expectations for most of the God A Sword elemarians and prefers to let them attack the Twintails as they please. He tells Mermaid to tell him something interesting to alleviate his boredom so she tells him how the ultimate twintails mounted and adorably pounded on one of their soldiers to no effect.

This leads to the leader saying he'd like to see just how bottomless Tail Red's twintail power. Mermaid that it doubts it's quantifiable. He figures an average twintail warrior to be 100 and Red's could be 10000, 1 Million or maybe even too infinite to specify. Mermaid didn't ask him about it but he continues prattling on at his own tempo.

"Fhhh... And my twintail power? My twintail power is zero. The Zero that can overcome infinity lies with me."

Mermaid can't hold back her exasperation at his super forced chuuni monologue but covers up her slip.

Mermaid walks back through the domain's long hallways and thinks to herself on how it isn't so hard to quantify love and that humans are interesting in that they can go from 1 to 100 in an instant. She's not ruling out doing experiments with human subjects.

She asks Var-chan who's there in the hallway if she thinks it's possible for a twintail who was made into a zero to go back to being 1 or 100.

Var just rebukes her for her insolent tone with the leader and says that such an act would be the same as the overturning the heavens themselves.

She asks Mermaid what she's going to do about the one she guided to the leader's domain. Mermaid tells Var she'll take care of it herself.

Var tells her it isn't good for the God A Sword elemarians to let themselves fall to the twintails as a prank since they're the last wall between the leader and everything else.

Memraid tells her that it isn't a prank and suggests Var should do what they discussed before and holds out a red orb for her that will let her use "countless feathers". Var takes her up on that and absorbs the orb into her body.

Valkyria Guildy lowers her hood and announces that she's going to take down the Twintails.

C4 The War Goddess of The End

Twins try to contact Souji in a dream but he can't hear them. They start crying at how they can't get the message across and he hugs them to comfort them. He then hears bits and pieces telling him to be careful of NO... B... LA... which leads to a nobra joke after they get cut off.

Souji's gotten savvy about what happens every time he hugs someone in his dreams only this time he doesn't find Isuna snuggling up to him but Erina. The rest barge in immediately after this. Apparently Aika can instinctively detect presences from a house away now.

Isuna pops up from the closet and states she thinks Souji's been meeting another girl in his sleep at night. This sets Twirl and AIka and they bring him down to the base to cross examine him in a surprise court session.

Isuna reveals she's been watching him at night and sneaking into his bed but only gets caught in his arms when dreamchatting. Erina was watching his sleeping face up close but apparently Souji pulled her in and she fell asleep in his arms. The rest can relate to the former though the other three imply they see more than his sleeping face. Souji has a newtype flash that lets him know when his mom walks in to enjoy the hijinx.

Souji explains that he's been meeting the twins in his dreams sometimes. Twirl is surprised to hear that they achieve cross world communication so easily. They discuss it a bit more when an elemarian shows up at another school.

Isuna's got a show to do so she can't come and Souji and Aika tell Erina to head for school since she's the stuco prez but she insists on coming since she's a twintail before she's that.

They go to the scene to find Kangaroo Guildy of the ZR affinity taking in the sights. He says he was inspired to fight by Chameleo Guildy and criticizes them for having V cuts on their leg armor and not putting on a skirt to complete the ZR. He tries to get Souji to put one on but Aika intercedes.

Kangaroo tells her his punches pack a wallop and that he could hit her face but Aika nonchalant tells him she's been prepared to get beat up in a fight and his fist get crushed the moment it lands a hit on her face. Not entirely sure if she was implying she'll crush it with her hands or that she's confident that even elemarians would hurt themselves trying to do so at this point.

Erina tells them to watch out since she saw another bull-like guildy but no one else sees one and twirl doesn't pick up any additional signals. Kangaroo says he came alone too.

Kangaroo tries to put on brave front against Aika but she slips in her pads at gavan henshin speeds to shift into eternal chain. She quickly finishes him off with a triple elemeraddition and a break release. Kangaroo dies saying he only wanted to go out valiantly like Chameleo did.

Aika tells them she's not taking any more risks after the recent mess and plans to go all out off from the start in future battles. Twirl says she's got an ero event coming to her for saying that.

They try spotting any extra guildies but no luck. They conclude Erina must still be tired from the personality hijinxes. Souji does note that this was the same place Bull Guildy attacked back during the 2nd volume.

Back in school, classmates discuss tailred being back in red and it leads to how twintails strain on the scalp which Souji freaks at. They also noticed it was odd how tailred's appearance was timed in conjuction to Souji's declaration of love for twintails on their first day because they never even heard of twintails till then.

Aika tells him not to worry about it since humans do plenty else that wears down the body and that all tied hairstyles and having long hair do take their tolls on the scalp.

"That's right Souji. You realize this don't you? I've been taking good care of my hair for a looooooooooonnnggg time now, more carefully than most girls would.... Y-you came to like twintails so I... all this while I... "

Twirl interrupts and Souji expects Aika to assault her but she kept calm and kept going.

"I make sure my hair gets the all the care I can give it. It's so that I can wear my hair in twintails for a long time... so that you can touch them all you want."

The class girls' approves, the guys' look away in embarassment and Twirl is dismayed by her failed intercept. Aika is blushing bright red and tries to cover it up by telling to mind the hair care from now on.

Later they walk with Mikoto and Erina. Twirl complains that Aika hasn't been very creative with the techniques she uses on her Aika complains back that most of her techniques don't work on her anymore so it doesn't leave much left to work with. Souji worries that she'll have to bring out the innermost secrets of her martial arts style soon. Mikoto reminds them of Erina's coming birthday and she says she'd like to have a small affair instead of a banquet. They part ways with them later and Aika starts asking if Souji's disillusioned with her after spending some time in her ragefilled shoes.

"...Say, Souji. Do you... think worse of me now?"

"Huh? What brought this on?"

"Souji... You just had your personality turned into mine just recently after all! I'm always pissed off... I beat up elemarians... I get jealous at big boobs... You went through the worst of me..."

What? That was still bothering her?

"That was just me copying off what I see you normally do so what is there exactly that'd make me think less of you?"

"That may be the case but you got to see things from my perspective... You have to realize just how dangerous I am..."

Aika looks down in rare timidness, her fingers pressed against their opposite.

"Aika-san?"

Twoearle calls out to her but Aika doesn't notice.

"I said all that big talk earlier but my own twintails are cowardly."

Aika put her hands behind like she did with the handcuffs on that day and looks up at the cloudy skies.

"You know, don't you? I've been tying my twintails up in the same places for a looooooooooooonnnggg time you know."

"Yeah, of course I do. I memorize everything about your twintails every day."

"...!"

Her twintails lift up in joy and she continues talking.

"I was thinking that I might try out something new for a change but I just couldn't muster up the courage to do it. I mean what would I do if it didn't suit me..."

"Aika-saaan."

This time Twoearle waves out her hand right beside her as well but Aika still doesn't pay her any attention.

"That's why... It made me so happy that you did them up differently for me Souji."

I see. So Aika was happy that I tied her twintails in a low tied style for her then. Those clumsily done twintails would be mere child's play for Aika but... I did my best with them so I'm happy to hear that she approved of them myself.

"I think maybe from now on I'll try trimming my hair to be a bit shorter than it is right now."

And having something I did spur Aika on to do something she wouldn't, that's a long held wish of mine.

"I'm definitely going to keep wearing twintalis though, you got that? The length might change and the style might be different, but even so, I'll always be in twintails."

I can't picture an Aika without twintails but hearing that from her puts me at ease. In fact, I feel like I want to see Aika in this new look of hers too.

"That's why I'm telling you, make sure you keep on looking at my twintails Souji."

Aika's twintails swish around in step with her as she turns. Twirl's face is there to greet hers up close and she screams out "YOU DANFLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATCHEEEEEEEESSSSSSTTT!!".

Aika is startled by it and Twirl digs into her for playing out a scene right out of a romantic comedy. Aika tells her to take her own swing at it but Twirl spoils a monologue about falling snow with drool since Souji's boobseeking hands left her overloaded and blueballed after they got fixed.

"JUSTPIPEDOOOOOOOOWNALREEEEEEEEEADDDY! How long are you going to keep up the good girl act when your sex drive outpaces mine with plenty of horsepower to spare!? You're so pent up with it that you don't even need a brace to transform into the new warrior Tail Lust!!"

"I don't want to be told that by you who was alredy Tail Lust the moment we met!!"

The two of them do their usual rumble in the streets not minding all the students passing around them.

Souji then feels a hand on his shoulder.

"Heyo there! Soouujii!!"

It's Yuno and she's in the same outfit she wore on their date.

Specializes for high speed or attack with a limit of 22 seconds in either mode before elemera instability needs him to shift modes. Going beyond results in internal damage to the body. Comes with extra swords and sword funnels.

Ultimate Chain
Massive power upgrade since it uses Solar's elemera in conjuction with Souji's and Twirl's(Tailgear). Constantly exhausts surplus elemera twintail particles. Can turn a fight against an entire unit of high rankers into a musou game. Main weapon is a giant sword with multiple modes formed out of funnels that seem to shoot out homing lasers. Can use elemerazation on the sword to boost things further.

Eternal Chain
No changes to Aika's tailgear base stats since she maxed them out already. Adds six more elemeraddition slots to her suit that lets her use up to 7 elemera in a combo and upgrades her spear. The more she activates at once, the more it damages her body. Activating 3 or 4 the first time degraded her strength down to the point even Twirl can contain her for days. Seems to have gotten used to that load over time but doesn't use more than 3 so far. Has a special break elemerize ability that lets her trace her opponent's elemera to use for herself.

Absolute Chain
Upgrades Erina's full loadout to anti army levels. Her twintails can anchor themselves in mid-air for pseudo flight. Downside is that she needs to Souji to keep filling her up with elemera through a link after blowing a full load exhausts her energy.

Infinity Chain
Isuna's combined form with Mega Ne. Huge stat boosts, upgraded weapon but unstable when either of their mental state out of sync.

Twirl suddenly picks up an elemarian signal and Yuno denies any involvement when they look at her. Yuno insists on having a talk with Souji and Aika relents after Twirl tells her she'll keep an eye on them from base. Souji goes with Yuno while the others go to take care of the threat.

Souji and Yuno take a stroll off the school walking routes and they both comment on how they both seem have to have changed for the better since they last met. Souji's twintails are in a good place now and Yuno's acting more human than before. Souji's really minding her looks here.

Yuno's glad how her intervention ended up making him stronger and Souji actually feels like he owes her one for it. He asks why she's here after disappearing for so long and she tells him she's got a ticket to the leader's place.Souji's shocked and Yuno puts on a look of self-derision.

"You'll probably laugh but even though I finally what I've been waitng for so long, I'm still walking around like this in the human human because of how I attached I got to this place. If it was the me of back then, these legs would be over at the leader's place giving him a good thrashing by now...!!"

Embarassed, Yuno puts her hands on the back of her head.

"...I think, I probably just wanted to see you."

Souji's heart skips a beat at how forward she came with that. She also says she wanted to get one more drink before she went. Souji almost gets it out of her that her favorite haunt is his mom's cafe but missed it by that much. She wants to leave no regrets behind because she knows their revenge match will be one for the ages.

"Yuno... If you're talking about fighting the leader then we should share the same goal."

"Hold it there! You're going on with that again! You don't get over things either do you!"

"Yeah. I might get stubborn and annoying but I'll say it as many times as it takes. Join up with us Iwabane Yuno - Phoenix Guildy!"

Yuno unconsciously pulls him close for a hug and Souji feels a warm unwarrior-like body in their embrace.

"Yuno...?"

Stumped for words, Yuno hugs him even closer.

"Shut it already. I blame you humans for this!! Wanting to do stuff like this to the one they like, that's how humans are built right!? Yeah... doing this with you really does feel amazingly nice... I just want to keep on doing stuff with you."

After staying like that a while, Yuno sprouts her fire wings from her back.

"Alright! I kinda feel like I just got a power charge so I'm gonna humor you with that fight Souji! Let's go on a little date right now!!"

She takes off to the skies with him. She goes super fast looking for an empty place to fight until Souji feels her speed dropping flying down.

"Oh whoooopssy there! My ponytail slipped! Hahah!!"

She playfully drops him and Souji takes a surprise skydiving trip.

"Jeez... You have to take better care of your ponytail!!"

Souji goes freefalling through the clouds with curious lack of fear. He calmly calls up his tail brace while Yuno goes into her elemarian form as the two of them fall like a pair of shooting stars.

The others are off to fight the other elemarian. Isuna and Erina meet up with Aika and she fills them in on the Yuno situation. Twirl remarks wistfully and frustratedly that Souji's hotblooded outburst at persuading Yuno was super cool. She also mentions how they were in each other's arms and worries Yuno's going to push him to penetrate her, in a sexual way.

The girls feel the urgency of the matter upon them and resolve to quickly take care of the threat.

They find it and it's Kangaroo Guildy again. They conclude he must have activated his ability before being destroyed last time.
However, something's off with him as he's droning out words incoherrently. Erina immediately shifts into Absolute Chain mode and does a break release on him with zero hesitation like Aika would.

They look at her in shock and she explains that can't waste a second and needed to bring him down fast. Aika approves and they leave to go after Souji but Isuna reminds her to retrieve the elemera orb properly.

"Huh...? I already picked up the ZR elemera orb from the last fight."

"..........what?"

Suddenly they get by huge quake that only they can feel. The surroundings aren't affected, only them.

Aika gets the most fanservice and character development in the series, more so than Souji, and even if he's too dense to realize her love and she's still scared to graduate from being just a childhood friend, Aika is still the closest person to Souji in spite of all the things that justify her existence as the most terrifying being in multiple universes. Volume 8 is a great treatise on the Childhood Friends and marks Aika down as a top class one. Unless Mizusawa's planning on White Albuming the endgame, Aika is the most likely one to come on out on top in the Soujibowl.

C5 Ressurrected Twintails

As usual, Phoenix Guildy does her rollcall. It's gotten even flashier since the last one. The two of them fight out and Phoenix comments Souji on getting strong enough to fight her in only the base form.

"And last time, I was fighting to protect myself... This time, I'm fighting to protect you! The difference between those two is the essence of my twintails!!"

"So you get stronger when you want to protect someone else huh... I am a ponytail! You are getting way too greedy!!"

"There's no such thing as being too greedy when you're protecting the those you treasure!!"

Phoenix jumps for a Phoenix(rider kick) and Souji shifts into Faller chain then Riser chain for his own kick. They clash, the world around them explodes in flames and they slide back to the ground clad in each other's flames.

Souji shifts back to normal chain and Phoenix readies his gunsword. Souji rushes and initiates a break release to open up the blazer blade and jams its opening into the gunsword's open barrel. The fire explodes out of the blazer blade and blows the gunsword out Phoenix's hand.

The force from that breaks off one of the split blades on the blazer blade. He picks the deflected gunsword out the air grips it with his free hand and does a cross slash he dubs as Cross Blazer.

Phoenix goes down in an explosion but obviously gets back up again. Phoenix compliments Souji on reading her moves but he credits to having fought her so many times.

They get ready for round two in their respective ponytail gear and ultimate chain but suddenly light falls from the sky on Souji. It turns out to be a sword strike that struck in a flash but Souji deflects the black mass that attacked him.

The elemarian that just came is in a black, not white, robe and gives the impression of an envoy from hell.

Souji felt a sensation when he blocked the attack that his twintails remember. Both he and Phoenix look at the elemarian's weapon and find themselves in for a shock when they see the sword as big as its wielder.

It comes at him again outmaneuvering Phoenix's attacks and Souji engages it until he strikes back it and cuts away the black robe breaking the remaining blade off his blazer blade in the process.

The robed elemarian wears mantle beneath it and the one beneath them both is

Also the real reason don't want ships to become so important is because that Twintails for me personally is more about the wacky humor.

Rromantic developments and slice of life drama will just slow down the series.

The both of them call out his name. Souji asks if he's the real one but he stands silent. Souji asks Phoenix about her revival ability but she tells him her mirage revive only brings them back as flimsy phantoms. It can't do what they're seeing.

That's when it hits Souji. The twins' message to him was not about going nobra but about Noble Club's resurrection.

They speculate on this Drag Guildy's true nature and notice he's just staring silently at the broken blazer blade as if a far off memory were pulling at him. Souji concludes that he's remembering his last moments in battle.

Drag Guildy turns on his heel and walks away. Souji calls out to him and his twintails shiver. It makes him look at Drag Guildy's back and he sees the long scar from where was struck down.

Drag Guildy leaps away and the two of them are stumped at what to do. Phoenix is convinced it couldn't be the real one but Souji is sure that was no mere imitation of the guy.

They decide to chase after him since he didn't teleport away via a gate but then Twirl chimes in on the comms. She fills him on what's going with Aika and the rest on Souji relays it to Phoenix.

Phoenix tells him it has to be Mermaid Guildy behind all this since she was doing research on her powers. Phoenix figures she must have derived a copy of her mirage revive ability and given it to an elemarian with an ability to take it further.

They decide to split up. Phoenix will chase after Drag Guildy while Souji goes to fight Valkyria Guildy. Phoenix tells him to watch out for Mermaid Guildy since she's even more than dangerous than the fighters of God A Sword.

Souji shifts into Faller chain and flies off but he can't shake off the ill omen he's feeling.

Phoenix Guildy is still chasing after Drag Guildy when Mermaid Guildy shows up behind her.

Phoenix didn't agree to let Mermaid do research to do things like this but Mermaid says she was never told not to pass on the fruits of her research to others.

She also reveals that it wasn't the mirage revive ability she was after but Phoenix's perfect resurrection ability. She used the former as a pretext to secretly get the key behind the latter.

Phoenix is pissed at her but she steps back and reveals she brought backup. Phoenix is startled by who it is but is quickly eaten up pillar of light.

Back with Aika, Valkyria is staring at her twintails in fascination as she compliments them on the rare amount of power her twintails hold. Aika just gets provoked by the size of Valkyria's chest and takes it as an invitation to fight.

Valkyria tells Aika that her twintails can't be attained by second raters. Aika shoots back that Valkyria is one of those second raters.

Aika charges at her with her spear but Valkyria takes the thrust barehanded and destroys it just like that. Valkyria mocks her saying getting pierced by a single strand of hair hurts more than her spear. Twirl chides Aika for getting her spear destroyed again.

Aika feels the pressure coming since she was going at full power with her attack and Valkyria cancelled it so easily. Erina, Isuna and Mega Ne brace themselves for a tough fight.

Souji arrives in a bit to see Aika's spear in shards. Valkyria asks Souji if he's read to have his twintails cut down by a god. She also commends him on the strength of his unwavering heart but informs him that her very existence is a calamity to theirs.

She declares her affinity to be Atorikia(?) and that she is the one who cuts twintails. Souji asks to be sure what it is and she proudly declares it means baldness. The second most powerful elemarian who guards the leader has a thing for baldies and skinheads.

Souji is taken aback by it and how it's an affinity for hair that's not actually there.

'Those eyes are serious. This one seriously loves smooth round heads...!!'

Aika points out how contradictory she is to like bald heads in a twintail loving organization. Valkyria tells them she was in despair when she was born for that reason but the leader gave her purpose, one that only he could fulfill as a judge. Souji can tell that her thoughts of their leader goes beyond mere respect.

Then she declares, in a completely serious tone, that she'll wield baldness against mankind no matter how much emnity it brings her and that she'll do it by turning them all into skinheads as the gods will it.

Souji tells her that they won't let her destroy their twintails and she summons up her spear out of light.

"Unlike Tail Blue, I will show you what a true spear looks like. This divine spear, the godly shine from the top of the head, Raganarok, will shave away all the hair in the hearts of every living that has lived and will live."

Twirl instructs them to go into their power up modes immediately and they take her up on that suggestion with a quadruple transformation into their most powerful chains.

Valkyria summons up a horde of Mega Ultiroids and kicks off the fight. These ones give them a bit of trouble with how much more powerful they are than regular ones.

Valkyria charges in on Souji shouting, "BAAAAAALLLDDDDDD!!"

Souji remembers that he broke on of his blazer blades earlier so he summons the Tail Regalia. Valkyria remarks that Souji's gotten very far from being human by summoning twintails as he forms up the Tail Calibur.

Both of them clash and the resulting shockwave is immense. They break away and Souji quickly shifts its mode to Unlimited to shoot out homing twintail beams to clear away the Mega Ultiroids.

Erina asks Souji for her leash so Souji shifts the sword into life mode to supply her with power for an all out attack. Twirl instructs Isuna and Aika to gather all the ultiroids together and they do so. Isuna with her glaive and Aika with the limb blades on her gear.

Erina finishes charging and blasts them all to bits leaving smoking crater. Valkyria tells them she looking forward to shaving their twintails even more now with a strange calmness.

They get into a bit of banter that gets lewd in a way that I can't quite figure exactly how but all the girls seem to get what Twirl implied, Souji doesn't and Valkyria seems to misunderstand since she doesn't know Red's actually a guy. It makes Valkyria fix her eyes away to the ground instead of on Red.

They bring out a wide array of attacks to confuse her including sword funnels and Blue's invisble spear but Valkyria deflects them all easily.

She's impressed that they managed to overcome her great terror but asks them if their armor does. That's when they notice that their own Tailgears themselves are quaking in her presence. Her power of baldness is eating away at their twintail elemera just by being in her presence.

She explains that God A Sword elemarians don't focus their attacks on the flesh but on the hearts of their foes.

Aika tries to even the odds by using her break elemerize to copy Valkyria's ability but Twirl doesn't realize the implications in time to stop her.

Aika screams out in terrible pain once it starts tracing out Valkyria's ability and she falls to her knees as electricity flies out from her gear. Valkyria mocks her for trying to take in her twintail poison to fight her.

Aika is going into elemera anaphylatic shock from taking in the twintail elemera's antithesis and starting scratchingat her twintails in pain. Valkyria takes it up a notch with a wave of her spears forces everyone except Souji back into their base forms. Even Mega Ne is forced to enter an emergency shutdown.

Valkyria gets ready to move in on Souji but Isuna gets up. Valkyria attributes it to her armor being glasses based but Isuna says that's just one part of it and that she really can't stand to see her friends get hurt.

Isuna telepathically tells Souji to take care of Aika and then back her up after. Souji shifts the TailCalibur into Extinct mode which is shaped like a giant pair of scissors. Souji's beaten losing his elemera before and uses that experience to come up with this mode to cancel out Valkyria's effect on Aika. He clamps it down on Aika to Valkyria's shock and Aika's breathing starts returning to normal after breaking the curse.

Souji takes Valkyria's surprise at what he's done to unleash a break release on her. The pillar of light shoots right at her but Souji feels resistance from her. She comes out intact after and implies that she partially deflected the attack somehow.

She concludes she would have gone down if Souji hadn't been weakened prior but Souji also notes that she's been weakened too. He only needs to make one more push to finish her but she steps aside and tells him it would be better for someone else to fight him instead of her.

He calls her out for running away but she states her role is to protect the leader and that to do that she needs to render Souji powerless.

Twirl urges him to retreat for now since Aika's taken on a lot of damage and he calms dowwn enough to turn away from Valkyria.

However, Valkyria introduces the one who'll be continuing her fight.

Souji turns around to find Drag Guildy standing by her.

Aika regains her consciousness in time to be in shock at the sight. Erina looks at her tailbrace confused by this. Souji still has his doubts on his true identity but then,

"...Your twintails are looking as wholesome as ever... Tail Red."

That was Drag Guildy who spoked and Souji's majorly surprised by this. Valkyria asks if he was under the impression that he was merely a husk all this time.
Valkyria rises into the air and unfolds her wings of light that look very similar to Phoenix Guildy's.

"...So you were the elemarian that got ahold of Phoneix Guildy's Mirage Revive!!"

"Verily... although, Mirage Revive? I would have no need for a power as trivial as controlling the dead when I could make apostles out of souls to begin with. What I took into myself was... was that rebel's ability of perfect resurrection. And that resulting materialization of my power is this perversion death, Valhalla. ...the power to raise fallen warrior and have them stand by my side."

Souji internally reasons out the meaning of Valhalla. Not at all what you'd think because apparently it's short for Valkyrie Harassment. I don't know how this scene still manages to be so serious with all the jokes loaded into this guildy.

"It's all over if we let Valkyria Guildy escape from here! ...She might go on reviving one elemarian after another!!"

A dark cloud thunders above them at that.

"I am passing down judgement upon you all. For the sin of breaking down three of the four walls that safeguard Ultimaguil... I will now have you make up for it dear Twintails."

Valkyria flashes her spear and silence falls. The day goes dark the ground rumbles low as rocky capes rise out of the ground around. Souji looks to one spot in his view and is shocked to see who's there - it's Lizard Guildy, the very first elemarian he defeated. And to his sides, every other elemarian they've ever defeated, blanketing out the sky and the ground with their numbers.

Drag Guildy stands gallantly at their forefront. The girls have little exchanges with some that they knew before. Aika - Rafflesia Guildy, Erina - Beetle Guildy and Isuna - Ptera Guildy.

"Hanh? What's this what's this? I come all this way after touring around the other world with my whole gang only to find you in a right up mess! What's the deal with that Tail Blue!!"

"...nhhh. Haa, you... what the heck. You c-can't be... real..."

"I had left you the parting gift of my confession when I had been on the brink of death but now that I stand here face to face with you once more I..."

"...I don't know what to answer you with under these circumstance.... it's quite troubling..."

Yellow puts on a complicated face at Beetle Guildy's embarassed voice.

"...mommy...!"

"Dying didn't do you any good in fixing that mother complex of yours!"

Ptera Guildy calls out to Black in his deep voice and black scolds him like a strict mother would.

Krake Guildy joins in on the reunions.

"Hmm... You're flat chest has grown one step flatter my princess..."

"LIKE HELL IT HAAAAAAAAAAASSSSS...! Ngh... Ghh...!!"

Tyrano Guildy steps forth to greet Red but Valkyria interrupts him mid-call at her astonishment.

"Normally, it would be unthinkable for a hell to manifest as much this... Afer all, my power was used for nothing more than a parlor trick to make Twintail warriors realize the graveness of their sins. But you all have defeated far too many elemarians. Know that this pandaemonium before you is the materialization of all the sins you have piled up."

"Humans are such strange creatures. The stronger they are.. the higher the hurdle that stands before them is, the more aroused they are in leaping over it... However, if they see that their goal is far and distant, their hearts break all too easily."

Souji thinks back to what Isuna and Tyrano Guildy had to say about the horrors of God A Sword and the hell they will make of their world if they should arrive.

"...So that's what it was... If God A Sword's warriors should sortie, the world will conquered by elemarians. That was all..."

"Indeed. The one who forged that legend... was me."

Souji worries about Phoenix Guildy who was supposed to chase after Drag Guildy but hasn't shown up yet. The air quakes at the desire to do battle coming from all the elemarians.

"How does it feel to have all your battles up till now amount to nothing oh dear sinners?"

"I commend you for all the hard fights you've fought all this time Twintails. Now then, let's have you do it all over again."

Epilogue - The Promise Exchanged on That Day

The dark cloud that seemed to enshroud the world in its entirety rumbled and thundered. The flashes of lightning cast light on the elemarians and in them, I saw all their eyes on us Twintails.

There were plenty of omens sent my way.

Loel and Ryruna's attempt to warn me of this threat. Yellow's hallucination of an elemarian that didn't exist. The return of the supposedly fallen Kangaroo Guildy. There were all the little bouts of wrongness and deja vu too...

If I hadn't written them off, if I hadn't thought better of them and just faced them head on, maybe I could have stop this day of judgement before it ever came.

"With so many here treading here before, what fills you all is not fear... it is nostalgia. It must be because you've fought so many fine battles... However, it is those very feelings that will plunge into the pits of despair."

The brave warrior that scattered to the skies, Beetle Guildy.

The one that stands behind the mass of warriors and reaches into the skies with her size, Yggdrasil Guildy.

And... the emperor who fought the grandest battle to the death with me, Tyrano Guildy.

Seeing the commanders of three of the four pillars lined up like this covers us in pressure. And at the same time, there's this helpless nostalgia... I can feel relief rising up from it...!!

Drag Guildy nods as he takes in at how the elemarians around him react towards us. He looks down at us and acknowledges the warriors who weren't there by the time he fought us himself.

"Yellow and black Twintails...? Hm, you are..."

He gallantly looks on Black who glared back at him and he smiles as if that was all he needed to be told.

"I see. You went over to the Twintails... It seems there were some incredibly harsh battles that followed after my defeat."

However, that faint smile lasted only a moment. Valkyria Guildy speaks to Drag Guildy as though she were head of an entire brigade giving an order.

"My apostles, my brave and bald Einherjar... I leave this world in your hands."

Accepting those words, Drag Guildy raises his stout arm in the air.

"Listen Well Twintails!!"

His voice booms out across the air. Drag Guildy flourishes his mantle and raise his arm.

"We who were reborn have surpassed the divisions of our units and now stand against the Twintails as one!!"

The dragon god's farm becomes a banner to unite all the units.

"I heareby declare the formation of Neo Ultimaguil!!"

The cliffs quake in cheers. Drag Guildy's charisma commands even those of the higher ranking four spires. Not satisfied with merely reviving, he soars to greater heights. The elemarian equipped with both wisdom and valor makes his proclamation of all out war on the Twintails without any hint of haughtiness to it.

"Damn him! Drag Guildy is very clearly the one that has Tail Red's attention the most...! A deathmatch of the most extreme nature unfolded between us, so why!? ...HEEEEEY!!"

Tyrano Guildy seems to be only one to be making some sort of of complaint... It feels like he was waving his hands at me but the impact of Drag Guildy's words wiped it all away.

Neo Ultimaguil. The greatest unit sworn to bring down the Twintails right from the start is now born.

"To crown the organization you owe so much to with reborn name, the sheer arrogance of it... However, you are just a rowdy bunch of the dead so I can overlook this renaming."

Valkyria Guildy watches on through that declaration and assents to it in seeming acknowledgement.

Drag Guildy calls out valorously to me who was just shaking and quaking as I stood as if to pull my head out of the haze.

"Fate is a fickle thing. That's what it has to be for that promise to be fulfilled so exactlly like this."

"...!!"

Promise. My twintails take me back to the past at that word. Back to the sounds of swords trading strikes on that day. It comes back to life for me vividly as if it had only just happened.

[Someday in the next world let's...]

Those last words Drag Guildy entrusted me with in his final moments that day.

[As long as you love twintails]

That was how I answered him. And now, after so many battles, the promise we exchanged that day has been fulfilled.

"So, we meet again. Tail Red."

The curtains of our greatest battle rises on those gentle words of reunion.

And that's it for volume 12. Misuzawa says he was trying to give this whole thing a summer movie feel like the ones rider shows have in their last stretch. Hopefully that means a shorter wait for the next one.

With the way things are going, I figure that means one more volume for the God A Sword arc and then finally 3 more for the endgame. I'm really looking forward to seeing what it is exactly he's going to do with Aika with the potential flags he's set up.

Also, missed a line somewhere that had Valkyria Guildy explain the true meaning of God A Sword. It was supposed to mean God's Single Sword and that it was originally referring to her and only her but that faded away into obscurity at some point.

The final boss is probably already here. He'll probably show himself in the next volume but the leader feels like a setup for a true final boss and I've got it down to either Mermaid Guildy, Aika or Solar/Ultimate Twintails.

The first has ambitions greater than the leader, the second has been built up as the most dreaded thing in the universe with comparable abilities to the leader and the last is supposed to be a cursed calamity all on its own.

There's still plenty to flesh out with the leader and Solar too. He's been talking of a grander twintail order predating elemarians that only he and Solar seems to know about.

For Aika she's already foreshadowed that she's going to be changing soon enough and this volume demonstrates how her trump card can backfire on her if she uses it on the wrong target. If the leader has a corruption, possession or mind control ability or Mermaid Guildy ends up doing human experiments on Aika I could see her going full on yandere for Souji. It was just a joke this volume but the idea and potential foreshadowing of a Tail Lust is out there now.
