However this is technically international mail fraud and if for some reason either country decides to open the package, examine it, and decides the figure is worth more than listed the company who shipped it to you can be in shit.

Realistically that sequence of events is rather unlikely to happen and they're very unlikely to even bother over such a small value (this is a bigger deal if you're exporting something like a boat, in which case you can be sent to jail for undervaluing) but for the exporting company it's a no-gain risk.

If you're on a carrier you'll get regular mail deliveries via COD (C-2 Greyhound). It takes a few extra weeks to get packages through the Navy system and onto the plane. If not via COD you might get mail via UNREP pretty regularly (that's how DDG/CG get mail) on pallets. They almost never fall into the ocean during transfer.

Packages can get treated very roughly while in the Navy's hands. I would ask them to reinforce the packaging with some kind of plastic container if you're worried about packaging. That or just have them delivered to family/friends' house and pick it up when you get back.

3 days and my order from mandarake still hasn't arrived at the post office for shipping out to the UK. What's going on JapanPost , you're usually so good.

This one looks fine when the image is fit to my browser size. Full size you can see that the image would be better if it it were in better focus and sharper. You will need to either put the camera on a level surface or get a tripod if you want to improve the quality of photos with such large dimensions. The more you play around with different camera setting and lighting the better you will become. Keep it up
