Red Sprite is about certain special children that can house lightning in their body. Government then use these people to fuel all of their machines which is somehow unknown to the public.
The children of note are all super special children with special lightning that were artificially created and are 100000x better than any natural born lightning human.

Rebels take kids and flee, government finds them, queue time skip after all but one is captured. The single MC now returns to free his nakama.

Overall, seemed bad and it was bad.
The mangaka just isn't interesting week to week, does very VERY bland plotlines and can't seem to have anything unique to win people over. This was the same mangaka as "Iron Knight". It's funny because I though the one shot for that series was really good while the serialization was ruined because of editor influence.

Yes, i think it's certain. Isabella being an enemy doesn't make any sense. She's also a prisoneer therefore everything the kids are doing is pointless. Even if they succeed in escaping from her they will get caught. If it was that easy Isabella would've left long time ago.
Sister Krone said the kids haven't been raised conventionally. Why would Isabella raise them in a way that make them so dangerous? Since only their score on the test matter for demons, everything else would be a deathweight for her.

Yes, but she might need the kids for her escape plan without necessary wanting/needing them to make it alive. For me Krone's commentary about the kids make it obvious that Isabella want to them to be more capable.

Death Note was easier off because there was a lot less to explain. There was a full chapter simply detailing what the death note was and how it could be used. Even then we still had a plethora of later chapters with further explanations.
The difference is that this manga is NOT based in a real world scenario. We have an environment to build in the farm and a world to build outside. We're unfamiliar with the characters and need time to become acquainted with them so when the 'thrill' begins, it's that much more painful because the characters have been developed. If Norman were to have been caught in the second chapter, would people care?
It was the same for L in Death Note, he was introduced and sat around for a long while before the ultimate event happened. And it felt much more satisfying than if Light had simply done his thing the first time they had met.

In chapter 1, we had a color page where the only kid not looking forward was Ray, back when we didn't know anything about the characters. Now we know why. Also, in the same cover page, the last kid to the right, Thoma, is slightly angry and looking to his right, while in the manga is always playful and happy, until now. Will it mean something in the next chapters? Ok, I know everyone look super serious, but he is the one that strikes me the most.

Also, in cover 10, look at the various groups of kids.
We have 5 groups:

- Emma's and Norman's are going up, far from the orphanage below;
-Ray's looks like is going down, and urthermore is stuck by a broken step in the ladder;
-Gilda is walking upside down and she seems very scared and confused;
-There's a lonely kid, below all of them, looking away from the reader, I think he is Don, since he is the only older kid who is missing in this cover.

We now know that Ray is not completely on the kids side, but has yet to explain his motives.
Gilda is upside down, it looks like she will meet the worst fate, like dying or something else.
What does Don's appearance mean?

For me it feels more like Emma and Norman escape, but get seperated. Ray gets trapped somewhere within the farm and can't overcome the wall. Gilda is on her own and kind of not part of the plan for some reason. Don stays behind either to save the others or to actually switch side, because he doesn't trust them.

Getting over the walls is only the first step of the journey. They'll probably spend the rest of the series on the run trying to find "The Promised Neverland", which will either be a place they've heard is the last bastion of human resistance, or a place they want to create themselves one day.

Then there's the "Mama" thing. Emma herself feels a bit like Wendy, being a big sister to everyone and acting motherly.
But you could also say that she takes Peter's role by wanting to lead all the children away from their home. Norman would be her Tinkerbell.

I don't even care now. He doesn't have enough charisma to cause this. And why? Because so far the character was merely a puppet explaining the plot. L, on the other hand, was filled with particularities. He did not become popular just by talking smart things, he became popular for acting in an eccentric way. That's what made "that event" so impactful.

So I'm not saying that things should happen quickly, but that things should happen. Light understand the rules of the Death Note while using it. So, rather than spending all the time explaining the scenario through conversations, the author should make us understand the scenario through actions. That would make our engagement with the characters and the story much higher. For now, read TPN is like reading a Data Book, informative, but cold.
