Anyone have any recommendations with similar theme to Kurosawa? I'm looking for more manga in the genre of "regular people struggling through hard times".

To anyone else looking for something like that, I recommend Subarashii Sekai by Inio Asano, the Oyasumi PunPun guy. I read it when I was going through some hard times and it was exactly what I needed.
