Let's keep talking about Haruhi.
Don't backlink on /a/.
For what purpose?

You couldn't even keep that thread active what makes you think you need another?
I enjoyed Haruhi immensely back when I was in my early years of high school. It was a magical and whimsical experience. In some ways it reminded me of FLCL because of the sense of adolescent wonder and hope it gave me, but in its own way. Of course, I was still new to anime at the time, having seen only around 20 or so shows, so I didn't have much else to compare it to.
Being much older now and having seen a lot more anime, I sadly just can't enjoy the series as I used to. Its flaws are much more apparent, and no longer as easy to overlook. It's no longer as special as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, Haruhi still holds a special place in my heart, and I still occasionally revisit Haruhi for nostalgic reasons. It's just that after so long, it's become old news. Kind of like an old friend that you look back on from your childhood. I'm also just a different person now than I was in 2006.
That said, since then, no other series has been able to recapture that feeling of wonder and love the same way Haruhi instilled in me at the time. I'd like to think that was the factor that made Haruhi explode in popularity, because everyone else felt that same feeling I did. Not just "internet humor" and "gimmicks" as others suggest. You can be purposefully dismissive and reduce anything down that way if you wanted to.

I was late to that thread. Also it archived before I could post. If people don't want to continue, so be it.
I want to do things to Haruhi's navel.

A literal circlejerking general. Haruhi fans are the worst.

>It's no longer as special as it used to be.
Which is why S3 really isn't viable any longer and Kadokawa knows it
>>149203512
S3 was viable six years ago but they did nothing.

Do you really think if S3 came out now it wouldn't be a huge deal? People still remember Haruhi, it's just that nothing from the series worth caring about has been released in a while. The only thing holding S3 back from happening is Tanigawa not writing. The fact they were desperate enough to animate Yuki-chan is proof of this. Though it seems like when the next book eventually comes out, it's almost definitely going to be the last book.
>Kyoani
>S3
Fuck s3, I just want Tanigawa to start writing Haruhi again. The prose was always far more enjoyable than the anime.
>>149204819
thats never gonna happen.
>>149204725
The new animations in the pachinko ad seemed like Satelight art. If S3 happens, it will almost surely be done by them.
Haruhi is cute.

Look, I love Haruhi too, but FUCK NO are we having another general thread on this board.
*, Rosemary, and Thyme'd

Maybe Tanigawa will stop being a recluse. One day.
I remember watching this. I hated how the second season was 8 episodes of the same thing but the movie was really great. Did the story ever get concluded?
>>149208075
As long as hes still has that Haruhi money, that will never happen. He never has to work another day in his life.
Haruhi is literally made to be impregnated.
>>149208186
The last book could work as an open conclusion but author said he was doing more and then silence for 5 years
>>149208436
Yeah, but he was already struggling to continue when the first season started airing. He took a number of breaks and then ran into major writer-blocks with Surprise. Tanigawa's a perfectionist, and has almost never been satisfied with the end product of his own work, so I think it is less a matter of money than it is his own stubbornness and pride getting in the way.
I really hope he one day makes it back to the series.
>>149208186
>>149209422
It as good as done, Tanigawa just wanted to leave the possibility of more books out there in case he ever ran out of money.
Haruhipillar is best Haruhi.

Don't give me a heart attack, anon.
I only just recovered from that previous Satelight abomination.
Which btw got a perfect 5/5 score from these faggots:

Yeah maybe.
I bought a book and tried reading it but I couldn't even get through it. It's really not the masterpiece I thought it was way back.
In how much trouble would I get if I went to Japan, specifically outside Tanigawa's house, and grafitti-ed haruhi's face on a wall?
>>149212400
You'd be sent to Japanese jail, and trust me, you don't want to go to Japanese jail.
>>149212400
As a foreigner from any country in any country, you generally get in a lot of trouble for any crime.
>>149212507
Wouldn't they just deport him? Why spend money to house someone you can just expel?
>>149213105
Kyoani jamboree fucking when
>>149212563
I'm pretty sure graffiti is just a fine. Probably a damn expensive fine, but you'd have to do a bit worse to get jailed, or even deported for that matter.
>>149213172
never

Mikuru looks horrible in a lot of the old art. I mean just look at this.
