Reoko is tired. And probably also afraid of never being free if we are to talk about the long term.

With her bond with Entei however, Reoko is a serious enough person to try to make the best out of it.
But Reoko does consider herself a freak, and she is no doubt tired even if she does her best to hold everything on her shoulders. She was likely just tempted by an opportunity that she had never imagined, of being free.

Even in that moment she wasn't certain that she could die. She just felt like it was a possibility.
She snapped out of it pretty quickly though, realizing that there is still work that needs to be done. And that there are people who would be sad if she left them behind. But now she also faces the risk of being stuck with Entei forever. Even long after everyone she cares about dies of old age or otherwise perishes.
That's my take on it at the very least.

They mostly just trust Azuma.
Shiziru's and Kinoa's opinions of them were never as bad as it was for the rest of them it seems, they mostly just opposed Reoko's rule most likely.
Kogane doesn't appear to have that good of an impression of any of them, but at the same time she appears to have the most trust in Azuma, so she kind of deals with it.
And Hiiragi is likely somewhere in the middle. But as long as Reoko doesn't become the ruler of Japan again I am sure he'll feel like he has gotten his victory still.

And they do appear to have warmed up to them more and more over time, no matter if it's just by a bit or by a lot. From learning more about the opposing side of the story.
But yeah, they were assholes. Noble intentions or not.

I think Reoko x Azuma is endgame

If you think about it, Reoko wouldn't go after her limb users since most of them have/had a family or are too dedicated to her to see her as anything else.

Most adults would assume she is a teenager and would not want to do anything. She probably got turned down on buying alcohol because of her looks.

The few people that know her for her Buranki are probably terrified of her because of how frightening she is with Entei.

Azuma actively trying to help now is definitely gonna ignite something. Not to mention that they pass down Buranki if they produce offspring and if her immortality is also passed down she could age properly.

Right now Azuma is Reoko's best chance at having a relatively normal life.

Eh, I can live with that, considering she actually relied on him this episode without any drama about having him help. If indeed she would have suffered the same reaction at the sight of Maxim and his team but stubbornly kept that she could take on Guy by herself I would agree with you. But I could sense no hesitation in her. If anything disappointment in herself was more of what I felt when she defended him from Leticia, with her speech on Reoko being something to pump herself up with her usual character.
