It is, indeed, boring. I was hooked by the mystery at first but then, it got repetitive and nothing really happens.

Season 2, episode 20 is when Mushishi gets good.

It would have been pretty good if actually had a plot instead of being episodic. Making it episodic just makes it boring and doesn't give you any motivation to watch the next episode.

Just watch Natsume Yuujinchou, it's similar, but superior in every way
