Not a plot hole, but it bothers me that Togashi had them training at Killua's home to be able to move literal tons of weight (in a couple of weeks, which is pretty ridiculous) when just next arc they were gonna learn Nen, which would have made superstrong anyway in a less suspension-of-disbelief breaking away.

Maybe if it had been under different circumstances or at an earlier point, but Meruem was confident with himself and concerned with Komugi's safety and coercing Netero.

Certainly possible, theoretically speaking, but it's important to note that Meleoron can't stay undetected forever, he needs to breathe and in order to breathe he needs to deactivate the ability. When he does this means that he is detectable, especially by En. Initially, Pitou's En was making such that no one could get near the Palace without getting noticed. Meleoron does not have the lung capacity to get from the range of Pitou's En all the way to the throne room in one go. In fact, the only reason Knov was able to get his portals into the palace in the first place was because Pitou deactivated the En to go heal Meruem. Meleoron joined later so the initial plan of assault never included him, and thus they wouldn't have some kind of portable Rose poison vapor samples on hand for him to use. Even if they did though, there's still the matter of Meleoron's lung capacity again because I wouldn't say with confidence that Meleoron could exit Knov's portal, locate the king, poison him, and get back to Knov's portal all in one spurt. In the end, while it is all theoretically possible, there's so many variables in place that you can't really blame them for not trying to capitalize on it with all the apparent risk. Meleoron is worth more alive during the actual assault than dead on a failed mission to poison someone.

I imagine he was just able to piece it all together. We know that Killua had always been suspicious of the existence of "greater power" due to observing his brother. It's not too much of a stretch to assume that Zeno vaguely mentioned that he knew some aerial technique called Dragon Dive that allowed him to attack multiple time from above. Thus it's not too much of a stretch to think that he pieced the whole thing together once he learned about nen along with piecing together that his brother was a manipulator and that many of his needle techniques were the product of nen.
