So far as I've seen, Sakura has found that her cards are 'dying' and she has to remake them into new cards. Shaoran is being used by someone. Despite being set 2 years after CCS (which would put it around 2003), everyone is running around with modern smartphones. And its setting up for a typical bullshit 'love defeats a misunderstanding through a magical trial' ending.

Well, SMCrystal is a little different since its a straight retelling of the manga. While this is a sequel manga. But I agree, neither Tsubasa or this sequel is necessary. CCS had one of the few solid endings in anime.

I'm legitimatly mad at this, I love CCS with my heart, I watched it on Teletoon when I was little and the sub and a bit of the manga, it's the comfiest TV show ever made period. I'm actually fucking steamed that Clamp is selling out and forcing the show to jump into modern times and having Sakura and friends go through a boring, generic, hamfisted adventure that's probably about selling toys and DVDs. I bet Clamp ducks up something crucial to the plot or leaves something out, they might as well give them power levels now or give Tomoyo giant tits just to say hey it's 2016! Let's be like every other modern shitty anime out there!

I'm against a separate board even when this thread reminded me that I needed to read Tokyo Babylon (I'm in volume 5 and it's really amazing).
Just because there's no constant discussion doesn't mean /a/ doesn't care, it's just that the quantity of people that knows or likes old anime and manga is obviously lower than those than know about newer anime.
