It was fucking fantastic. The only part I didn't like about the CA was that Gon's power seemed kinda fanfic-ky.
I know there are proofs that it was NOT an asspull and I'm tired of agreeing with it, but it just borders in what a kid would have imagined about a power.

Anyway. Netero was fucking amazing and I would have loved to see him live longer. Or do more stuff before he had to die.

Well, shit. It's animation. They have to fill in time somehow. I'd rather have a sequence with some neat animation and whatnot than still frames of the characters moving their mouths only and explaining things in great detail. I don't mind the 'filler' if that's what it's referred to.

I think HxH gets a lot more praise than it deserves because it is a Shounen Jump battle manga that has actual themes and subtext. It's not so much that it is a cut above the rest, but it is certainly a cut above other Shounen Jump battle manga.

It wouldn't work, remember how Pitou sensed Netero and Zeno even though it shouldn't have been physically possible.
If they threw a nuke onto the palace Pitou would sense it while still in the air and safe the King before it exploded, Meruem probably would be able to run away before the blast of the detonation reaches him.

HxH has some really neat stuff, the chimera king, komugi, the whole mafia stuff and the spiders, Kara picks, leorio...but then, it has just as much shitty things going for it, got, kilua, greed island arc, the whole examination thing at the beginning, the beginning of the CA arc.(specially on the anime, beyond terrible )

Personally, I label it as generic Shonen with some really, really good moments that make it worth it, because the good moments are really fucking good.

I really want to see the two of them interacting in circumstances where they're not enemies at the beginning, since both of them are kind of sociopaths in the sense that they don't register as humans those whom they aren't friends with. (And yeah Gyro did have friends, remember that ant who recalled his memories and how he and Gyro always tried to outdo each other with who had the shittiest childhood.)

I'd be fine with Gon leaving the story as he is, since his relationship with Killua or the others can't really develop much further. He's pretty much achieved his goal of finding his dad, and we've seen his final form.

I don't see any way Togashi can write Gon back into the story without it feeling forced.
