I think Isekai is caracterised by an easily identifiable-to MC being a loser, but thanks to this new chance/special power/vidya knowledge, he manages to do a lot of things right. The wish fulfilment part is important, imho.

Drifters has many characters, you're not supposed to identify as Shimazu, there is an actual story.
