Mind you, it's actually fake wide screen, because the original VHS release was a 4:3, but the one in that pic is from the BD remaster, which cropped the 4:3 to fit the widescreen aspect ratio.

and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The original cinema version actually was widescreen, but they cropped it for the VHS release. This essentially means the BD release is a cropped version of a cropped version.

The color shifting is super easy to do, the hard part is the actual cel shading. Pic related is Pencil+, which is the most used but the one I like the least.

Unfortunately I can't pull off a Guilty Gear with what I can do. I know they do it in UE3, but I've never known how they set up their shaders.
