A part of me is a part of the me that was a part of a thread that was a part of 4chan many times before. But the part of me that the other parts of 4chan read, and replied to, was not me at all. Me myself, do not exist in the form that I know, to the reader of my post. The post that I wrote, and replied, does not have the same meaning or value as it would coming from the me that I know that is me.

The posts that become memes, only do so because they become of personal value to the reader, in the very moment that he read it. "YOU DUN GOOFED, I'VE CONTACTED THE INTERNET POLICE AND THEY ARE GOING TO BACKTRACE YOUR IP!" would have never been what it is now had it not been posted after the fact that 4chan had already been trolling slaughter. It would have just been some angry dad and some teen. She wouldn't have every gotten trolled if the posts didn't line up in the exact order that lead to that reality.

The entire history could be changed by the existence or absence of a single post.

A meme cannot die as long as it exists in the memory of a single person, or within archived data. A meme has no power in itself, its only the posts and readers present that give it power through a unified value that they see within it, whether negative or positive.

To try and understand and control memes is to try and understand and control the flow of time, and the human experience itself.
