Killing the dragon wasn't the goal, it was getting Farlyn back. They're not out of the wood yet. Farlyn's resurrection via forbidden magic was suspicious and will most likely lead to further shenanigans. They will probably be forced, for one reason or another, to keep going down and confront the final boss of the dungeon.

Since Senshi dislikes magic so much maybe he will refuse to touch the dragon meat now that it has been part of a dark ritual. What if Marcille just destroyed Senshi's dream?

This is how resurrection in this manga works. Usually blood magic is used by manipulating blood for violent purposes, which isn't the case here.

The more commonly accepted method for resurrection is more tame than the method Marcille used. The gnomes didn't have all the spooky shit going on around them or had to spill their own to resurrect the female dorf.
