2wei is still very solid, fanservice starts to become more prominent because Kuro comes in.
Herz is okay but they completely dropped the ball on the ending.
3rei suffers a lot from lack of time and budget, on top of being outshone by how much better the manga has gotten.

If you don't want to just read the manga I'd say the ideal Prisma experience is watching the first two seasons then picking up the manga where it leaves off.

I'd still say watching 3rei is worth it, outside of episode 11 it's pretty good, even if it may not quite match the first 2 seasons. Then after you have watched it, read the manga starting from the last few chapters of 2wei.

The biggest issue with 3rei is when you go in expecting it to match the manga. So if you wait with reading that you'll probably enjoy it a lot more.

What chapter of the manga did 3rei end on? Binged all 4 seasons this past weekend, looking to pick up the manga.

Why not just start from 3rei? Or even from the beginning if you don't mind binging?

Cause I don't really like reading manga, but I'm willing to give it a shot for Miyu.

Start from last few chapters of 2wei, you then get the proper transition from 2wei to 3rei as well as the full story. 3rei's adaption was pretty close to the manga but some things were cut as they had to fit in a lot of chapters into just 12 episodes.

And while I don't feel the adaption deserves all the harsh criticism it gets outside of episode 11, it's just hard to live up to the manga's art as well as the pacing just working a lot better in manga form.

It's a pretty short read anyway, shouldn't take more than an hour or so to read through it. But if you really just want to read the Shirou flashback then start around chapter 30.

Ive loved her since I read the VN many years ago. Though, to be honest, at first I was a bit iffy about her tendencies towards being murderous. In the end I still loved her, though. Of course, when F/Z came out and thoroughly explained her backstory it only made my love for her stronger. FSN Illya is a complex and beautiful girl and I wouldn't have her any other way.
