While this is true because of Kubo's bad writing, a Rukia end would have made the most sense because of everything Ichigo and Rukia went through together and of the Rukia was the reason Ichigo stepped into the world of shinigami in the first place. They even have the death and strawberries motif to boot.

Fucking I don't know why I'm upset about Rukia not wining the Ichigobowl. I havent even read bleach in fucking years but still, fuck.

Well, to be fair Chad did spend more time with Ichigo that Rukia. He also dried his rain and helped motivate him to fight on when he was depressed after Ishida's "betrayal."

The main nakama are living in times of peace. They're alive, safe and happy. They got a happy ending.

-Uryu became a doctor which made sense. He discovered that Ryuuken wasn't just fucking around with his mothers dead body, he was preparing that arrow-the same arrow that would come in handy in the future.
-Chad became a boxer. We had chapter cover of Chad in a gym and one of the light novels mentions him training. I like to think he's doing it for a good cause, like keeping kids off the street. You see boxing used a lot for that. At least where I live.
-Orihime finally has a family of her own. She lost her only family in the Kurosaki clinic since that's where Sora died and rebuilt her family with someone from that clinic. She's happily married to the guy she vowed to love in five different lifetimes and is raising a cute son with him.
-Ichigo has been through a lot this entire manga and now he can finally rest. No more missions to save his nakama, no more missions to save the world. He's happily married to one of his dearest friends and is raising a child with her. In the last chapter, he was surrounded by most of his loved ones.
-Rukia made captain, making her one of the few female captains. She has a great relationship with Byakuya(who finally acknowledged her strength this final arc), no longer carries guilt over Kaein, and married her childhood bff. On top of that she had a cute daughter with him.
-Renji's smug speaks for itself. He married his childhood bff and had a cute daughter with her.

Last volume has about seven extra pages. Too short for an extra chapter, so I'm guessing Kubo is going to add more pages to the final chapter.

I agree that everything was a mess, but the manga has been a mess for years. When it was revealed that the manga would be ending in two chapters that's when I gave up complete hope. I knew that Kubo would show us a happy main nakama, but everything else would be just whatever.

Look I never really cared about Bleach's end since I stop giving a shit about its story long ago and only continued to read it because of the unrevealed bankais but after seeing fanarts and panels above it gave me a nostalgic feeling about Ichigo and Rukia's relationship way back from the start of the manga.
I suddenly felt upset about Rukia not winning Ichigo.
