The whole premise is that since japan strong the awesome japanese warlords will conquer their land because it's in their blood, It's literally in the second or third chapter. That being said all of the Drifters give their support to the war. The main antagonist is Jesus and when you have elf rape in the first arc and pyromaniac Joan of Arc as the first End showcased you know what you're in for.

Hellsing was as bad as those "American Manga" that Tokyopop used to try and sell at Hot Topic. Edgy garbage with ugly art. I gave this one episode a go; it's alright but the tonal shift from tough guy action to lame jokes is too much.

Also, literally every time a new character is introduced, they're going to have the following conversation:

"I'm from Japan year 1400!"
"But I'm from Japan year 1550!"
"I'm Nobunaga!"

The 2016 anime is directed Suzuki Kenichi and Ryoji Nakamori as the chief animation director within Hoods studio. Only the colors, Contrast and the Lightning Effect are different
