Season 2 was an experience, you honestly had to be there when it was happening to have appreciated it.

The /a/ threads at the time were fantastic, with the advent of memes such as "spinzaku", "noodle people" and the infamous chess game. It was hilarious and fantastic.

The ending of the second season saved it somewhat from the glorious train wreck it was, but I don't know if that would be enough merit to carry the rest of the show.

Kudos to your roomate for trying to give you a piece of that experience. He's likely wasting his time on you though.
