The first episode was decent, but I feel like they explained way too much. There's little subtlety or unknown factors going into this game, and it's only the first episode. We already know the complete setup, we know what's being wagered, and we also know how shitty the 'reward' is. Like, where can we go from here that would be legitimately unpredictable?

As of the first episode, the protagonist is as interesting as a rock. The opportunist guy seemed too petty to be significant. The quiet girl was mediocre. The dramatics were rather overblown.

I'm still hopeful though, because the main heroine's obsession with her childhood friend is a little suspicious and her color's red, meaning there's a possibility of her going full bloodlust/yandere. Boring-ass characters becoming exciting over time isn't that unusual in this franchise.

No, but I was able to follow along with what was going on even without knowing any real moon. Basically Mirurun and Akira meet up, Mirurun teases her until Akira breaks her cutesy act. Then Kiyoi shows up, her and Mirurun talk a bit, proceed to tease Akira until she breaks character again. Then Kiyoi and Mirurun talk about how they would have acted if Akira had become an eternal girl and they had taken over her body, has little bits with each of them talking to like an idol producer or something. Akira gets mad again, and then at the end she gets all bashful and shit when she has to go and asks if they'll come see her again, and it's cute and everyone is friends.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised though. It's shown that she has absolutely no friends, and I doubt she's ever had any sort of friendships due to constantly moving around, her personality, and her general aversiveness to try building them.

Her only true, longstanding friend in her entire life was Chinatsu, and that's why proof of that friendship is her most important memory (I'm guessing you lose your most precious memories last). If that isn't a recipe to create a yandere, I don't know what is.

Piruluk grows to level 5 and has a chance to win and take revenge on Remember, but instead she chucks her chance into the bin, rewrites her Selector's wish to be "I wish to lose my mother," and throws the game so that her Selector's new wish is reversed and her mother is saved.
