I binge read this entire thing in a few days and I was reading through the last thread and people already know who the Mother/Father are of the Elf from the Intermission of Vol 11. Are you guys reading ahead because I've only been able to find translations to the story up till Vol 11 Intermission myself.

You guys were saying MK8 or someone was in the game previously? When did Ainz figure that out? I must have missed it because I thought no one know if other players were in it; at least stated obviously, so far all we know is that powerful begins show up every 100 to 200 years

The Elf mother is likely Akemi, who Ainz knew as the sister of a guildmember. We don't know for sure, but the description matches pretty well.

And we came to the conclusion that the gods and 8GK are players because they brought Yggdrasil powers/weapons with them when they came to the New World. So far, we've got quite a bit of crap to back this up: Characters in NW even know of Leveling up and Players as terminology.

As far as the rune things go, I wonder if that means that enchantment knowledge was passed down "fairly recently", say by the player(s) that appeared 100 years ago, if not just a slow spread from some other player that wasn't spawned in the region. I'd hazard a guess that it's possible, given that earlier players were mostly combat-oriented, so a crafting player who specialized in enchantments probably had appeared 100 years back and led to the downfall of runic equipment.

How would the NPCs feel once they realize that them and their entire universe are just data, 1s and 0s, from the perspective of the [s]extra dimensional[/s] human beings that created them. To realized that they're nothing more than toys that have no value outside entertainment.

It's an AU, where instead of waiting in the throne room, Ainz goes outside to watch the fireworks.

As a result, he ends up in a different time period and doesn't have Nazarick with him.

What we can learn from the side story is that players who were logged on when the servers went down were sent to different time periods in the new world (some will probably show up later than Ainz) and that what they brought with them depended on what they had and where they were.
