Those are all really easy to make. The problem here is you're thinking about modern day versions of those items. A single piston engine for example is simple enough to create, but a modern V8 engine would be tricky as hell. Likewise, a flintlock only needs a barrel with one end sealed (save for a pinhole for a fuse or flint).
