Seeing Hanayo and Midoriko talking at the end honestly is what made the movie worthwhile to me. I still think it would have worked better as an epilogue OVA. The Ulith bits really didn't do anything for her character, and it honestly felt like it was just shoved in to make sure they had something extra to throw into the movie so it wasn't 100% recap.

Also, crunchy has subs, so hopefully by the end of today we'll have the first episode fully subbed! I was worried we'd end up with a whole season of >waiting for Asenshi.

Eldora was an all around enjoyable character, but her and Chiyori's arc was pointless. Futase's arc was even more pointless, for how big of a footprint she had on the series. Aside from maybe shilling in that Level 5 shit.
But more importantly, the second season is the shitstain on the first. The movie did the right thing cutting out most of it and focusing more on infected.

Everyone agrees that they're not just wagering simple memories, but the important segments of their personality, right? That's what they meant by 'they'll disappear' - without any coins, they essentially lose their selves, even if they still have most of their memories.

I'm guessing that Homura only has a single coin from the start because she played this branch of Wixoss when she was younger and became an emotionless doll for half a decade or so as a result. Enough to regain a sense of self and a personality trait, but not enough to fully recover.

It also fully justifies her genericness as a protagonist.

I liked it. Everyone seems to be complaining that it's not exactly the same thing, but that'd just be boring if it was. While the twist in the original series was great, I do like how the stakes are high from the start, and hope we've still got a good twist in store. Also I thought that girl was Piruruk in the PV, good to have confirmation it is actually her.
