So, I have an announcement to make.

I originally planned to dump the Gaiden chapter in the same thread or a thread right after the final volume thread hit the bump limit, but after careful deliberation i've decided it will get it's completely seperate thread the day after

This is so I can hold a vote in the last thread for favorite characters, like the official character polls, as well as favorite fight and saddest book burning, those can collect overnight, and I can assemble the results the next day before dumping the gaiden chapter and the results.

If you think that's a bad idea, feel free to explain why and suggest an altrerative.

Well, Kanchome's still a regular demon kid at the end of the day. He can't rewrite reality, nor can he survive the vacuum of space, nor can he destroy a supernova, but he can mind crush.

Unless someone has some kind of bullshit mind control immunity/absurdly powerful mental control, he can deal with it. Long-ranged opponents could be an issue however, and there might be some specific counters that work against him.

He's like Guldo. He can't fight normally, but he's more than capable at dealing with opponents that rely on sheer power.

There's almost certainly spells and techniques in the Demon world that check or counter Kyanchome, otherwise his tribe would be way more famous. I bet heart manipulation can protect the user against the the illusion. Or certain support spells may defend against it as well; it'd be interesting to see how it interacts with Giga ra Seshirudo and other reflection spells. And depending precisely on how Shin Raifogio works, its stasis field may protect against mental intrusion as well.

We don't know how long it took for Clear to find his partner. Considering how young Vino is Clear may have had to wait a bit for Vino to be able to speak the spells. Also Clear had no way to transport himself without Gorm so he wouldn't be able to move country to country freely in any decent time. I can sort of understand Clear seeing himself as a natural force, but it's not very interesting and neither is his book master.
Maybe if Clear convinced his book master that by him winning the tournament and ending it once and for all would save earth, keep it safe in the future, and make his book master a hero. Because think about how powerful and dangerous some of these demons are and how they will do whatever it takes to win the tournament. Faudo was almost unleashed upon the world because of this tournament, and who knows what else has been destroyed or harmed both in this tournament and the tournaments in the past. With a book master as young as Vino, it should be very easy to manipulate him into agreeing with the plan and to convince that all who oppose his idea are enemies. This way the final antagonist is really convinced they're the true hero.
