Oi.
Time for another delinquent/yankii manga thread.
I wanted to dump a story time for Crows but the arc I want to cover had too much build up which I felt was needed to appreciate the way the arc ended, so instead I'm going to dump the first volume of A-bout!
In other news based HnG is continuing to out out chapters for Akatsuki Otokojuku and Karate Osu Bu and the drugs that made delinquentanon scanlated all those Shinjuku Swan chapters seem to be kicking in again. Crazy Delinquents and Shit scans seem to have taken a break on Rokudenashi Blues it seems, as does Vendetta scans with Clover. But whatever.
As always, post shit and bitch and moan about lack of scans and adaptations.
Every manga should have a school that is only inhabited by delinquents.
Keep up the good work OP
A-bout! has some underrated comedy in it.
This particular look of having a T-shirt much longer than the gakuran has made me remember that Hayabusa from Sakamoto Desu Ga was meant to be getting a spin off manga. Wonder what happened to that, it's impossible for me to find any info on it online.
Fantastic execution.

Which arc are you talking about?
>>148212452
Bouya vs 3rd generation of TFOA. I really liked the art and in particular the fights in that arc a lot, probably my tied favourite bit of Crows with Parko And Dangerers.
End of chapter 1.
Once again I have fucking decided to dump something which has ended up taking way more time than I thought it would but fuck it.
>>148213018
Thanks for the dump OP! I know these threads don't generate as much discussion as the others, but we appreciate it!
Attempting to dump the rest of the volume.
Damn that was awesome. Love me a good delinquent manga. Good stuff OP
I know you are trying to look like Jotaro but it's not working, you are way more likeable.
>>148213986
That style somehow reminds me of I Am A Hero.
This guy is a bit like Onizuka from RB now that I think about it.
Pretty hardcore.
I just don't understand why this shit isn't more popular in this day and age like it used to be.
Can't we just be happy this game is getting released instead of bitching?

It's just a theory, but I think because of the internet, anybody who isn't that socially capable or just a troublemaker becomes a nerd. Back in the day, when you were bored with no where to go you were more likely to become a delinquent, thus the manga were more accessible for teenagers.
>>148215012
Every time I see footage for this I wish I could play it. I was thinking the other day randomly about how oddly popular Crows and Worst are and how much money they have made Hiroshi Takahasi. I'm surprised he hasn't done another spin off for it.
>>148215108
That's a good way of looking at it.
I find myself thinking that the society we live in now has so much more pressure to conform than ever before (while always stating that everyone should be free to do what they want) that no one wants to stray from the norm and do what they really want like MCs in these sort of manga do, maybe that's why they don't find them that interesting.
>>148214920
I think it's because it became too stale, like 95% of them are the same as they were back in the 90's.
I tried reading Clover because I thought it might be fun and it is but honestly I know everything that's going to happen, I know what arcs will be coming next and how will those arcs will develop and I know what characters will do what because i've seen them a hundred times. Now if it had KKOW!! tier comedy i'd definetely read it and love it but sadly it doesn't. I hoped the nerd friend would have a more prominent role eventually since that would change the pace a bit but it's always about Hayato beating the boss and some shit like that.
Still, powerlevel battle shonen manga it's stale as fuck but still sells so maybe there's another reason.
>>148215688
Clover is quite by the numbers as far as battle shounen go. It gets a little bit better when a few more of the side characters are added and developed (like Gengen and Maki in particular) but on the whole it is basically Hayatowinslol. I like it but I can read a volume of Clover in about 10 minutes.
And you're right in the sense that a lot of the yankii stuff that came out and was hugely popular was like that (RB is basically Maedawinslol for 43 volumes) but since they sold well maybe that's why people don't want to switch it up too much, although when they do and go for realism like Bakuon Rettou and Hot Road it works incredibly well.
I think Crows does the battle shounen thing quite well. Throughout the whole thing you know that Bouya is going to come up top somehow but it manages to not feel stale because it gives a lot of side characters numerous chances to shine.
End of chapter 2.

what do i need to do to be able to lift a 200 pound man with one arm over a wall?
>>148216646
>200 pound man
>implying a 16 year old eleven weighs that much
>>148216646
Be the MC.
Time for chapter 3.
>>148217095
Tsundere done right.
>>148217280
that's some pretty ass hair
>>148214920
>I just don't understand why this shit isn't more popular in this day and age like it used to be.
Honestly I think it's because a lot of the delinquent manga just got super shit more than anything, they used to have emotional impact but now when things happen it feels more like the author just blindly going through the tropes.
>>148217714
To be fair even when they were popular it was only the really good ones that made you want to keep reading, the others were all standard action manga for their time. Only difference was back then the ones that were great were really great. You could argue that the delinquent character is still somewhat popular.

those are some of the most unnecessary panels I've ever read. So cliche.
Get rekt.
>>148218348
What a nice guy.
Oh yeah, onto chapter 4 now.
How weak are these tables.
Last chapter.
Those goggles are terrible.
And we leave the volume on this cliff hanger.
Remember to keep reading delinquent manga anons.
>>148216646
>200 pounds
must be hard being a fatty and not knowing how much normal people weigh
>>148221341
but anon im 5,6 123 pounds
>>148209466
The remaining chapters of Ocha Nigosu will hopefully come out this year, the chick scanlating it already bought the last volume supposedly.
>>148215688
Clover gets noticeably better as it goes on and steps away from that Crows-clone feel it has. More characters are introduced and more shenanigans happen instead of formulaic fighting.
>>148209466
The thing with a lot of delinquent manga and how shitty they're is that they focus too much on the fighting and not really about the delinquency, about hanging out with buddies and doing mean shit around town, the manga doesn't even have to excel on comedy but having more side stuff with just bros hanging out gives more impact to when fight do happen. Same thing with A-bout!, if it would focus more on the comedy like on the first chapter it would be miles better.
>>148220344
where can i keep reading this
>>148224744
anywhere
>>148209466
Hey. Thanks for the thread. I've been really motivated to work on Shinjuku Swan but I haven't forgotten my other projects. BR is something I really need to get back to releasing consistently but I haven't found the time. I'm working on the next A-Bout chapter currently.
