Rate This Season so far

I've only watched Euphonium so far. Waiting for 3 episodes to drop for the rest to weed out garbage quickly in one sitting, since Hibike is the only show I was hyped about this season I just can't wait.

Flip Floppers flops today. And after it only relevant thing to flop that remains is 3gatsu - which is doomed to flop, since Yuri on Ice shows how it`d look if its adaptation would be looking done by proper studio, which Shaft isnt.

Is it just the implication that there might be other places people discuss anime besides /a/? Because to be honest discussion you can find on IRC and twitter is generally much more interesting and insightful compared to /a/.

It's way too early for a thread evaluating the season, lots of shows haven't even started airing yet. That said.

Soushin Shoujo - I dropped this a few minutes in

Ping Pong Girls - quality exceeds expectations
Izetta - I'm not going to watch this but everyone else will, and they're going to be sorely disappointed

The only thing I'm really looking forward to watching this season is Longriders, for the cycling content.

Alright I'll admit Yuri on Ice had the better first episode than Hibike but remember the former has major scheduling issues while the latter's production will only improve as it goes on as the overlap between it and Koe no Katachi becomes a non-issue.

KyoAnus fails another second season. This time even with source material to work with.

I watched it and it was pretty impressive, not too gay yet just had like one naked male scene and the rest of it was pretty much nothing unless you were looking to read into it you wouldn't even think anything of it.

Only caught Hibike so far, and that as certainly up to the standard we all expected. Will definitely continue watching that. I'll pick up Hypekyuu once it lands this weekend immediately as well, gonna let all other shows accumulate a couple of episodes and reactions before I jump into anything.

I just didn't like anything about it. Characters were uninteresting, art is bad, and every time there was a scene that might have been good (bombing set to opera music for example) I'm just brought out of it by how generally flat the execution was. Just feels thoroughly generic.

Yeah over the years that has become the case more and more. There used to be decent discussion with people who knew what they were talking about to be had as well but that has all but disappeared. Most people on /a/ now seem to be seasonal anime babies watching to be part of the memes and feel like they belong to a special club.
