The thing I liked the most about Orochimaru is that he didn't have some warped sense of justice were made excuses for his actions that he did in the name of the greater good.

He was just some mad scientist who took in troubled kids with nowhere to go with the promise of giving their life meaning when in reality he just wanted them as lab rats for his experiments to learn all jutsu and unlock the secrets of the universe.
