Renji jobbed because of his character which demanded getting into retarded fights, like against Ichigo the second time. During the first time he could've arguably finished Ichigo easily, but proceeded to talk shit instead. He could've waited for Ichigo to finish, but was sooooo sure that he could defeat Byakuya with a mint bankai. If he wasn't so retarded he wouldn't have lost any of these fights.

Rukia on the other hand was faced with situations she could do nothing about, like suddenly facing an Espada, or an Espada that has a trick which has particular effectiveness against her and her only. Or then facing against Yammy (and even then she was still standing when Renji and Chad were knocked out IIRC). Against Riruka she only did the right thing by not killing her outright (conversely, killing a human who has stolen shinigami powers is "right" as well, but this goes towards semantics)

Renji attack Byakuya because he is not a faggot, and wanted to save his waifu Rukia. There was also not guarantee Ichigo from his perspective. Why shouldn't Renji feel confident to go up against Byakuya when he himself learned bankai. Before Rukia did I should mention. Rukia did not even achieve her bankai till the final arc, in which she only used once I might add. That is all on Kubo's fault for sure. There was far to much padding, and fluff in between the major plot development. My point is the hate on Renji is a stupid fucking meme by autists.
