It compromises too much on its message with the final hint that Haruno may return and generally felt too unfocused in the early episodes - like the scripts and storyboards were done before the formation of a truly coherent vision could take place.

You could also argue it gives into commercialism too much with the fanservice but tbqh I've always found that people who judge artistic merit based off the willingness to live in poverty on the part of the artist are fucking cunts.

I know it works because that returns the city to its status quo and servers for the MC dialogue on "This is such a normal place" but I was expecting a different ending.
