I don't have any specific ideas, I just want it to make sense and be a little unpredictable. Episode 11 managed it, so if they can keep it up without going either full retard or full cliche I'll be happy.

Strega asks Angelo to join the family and makes their top priority the head of Nero. Pic related is where the three of them meet. Angelo pulls the trigger on Nero followed by Strega and himself.

After he killed Corteo I was sure he was going to die at the end, but after he tried to leave himself to die in that alley and was found by Strega, I began wondering if he won't end up as just a member of the Galassia's, or maybe even a Don himself.

Him dying by the end is the most obvious ending, him becoming the head of his own family would be more unexpected, bonus points if he also marries Fio (which would be great for some irony, since his offspring would also be a Vanetti).

Because, one, neither he nor Corteo are gay. They think of each other as family. Even if Angelo never moved on from his dead family, Corteo would eventually have found a woman, married and have children.

Second, Angelo said revenge was the only motive to live he had. He only came in contact with Corteo again, so that he could get some help to enact his vendetta.

Galassians take over the town and wipe out the Vanetti family. Nero just barely survives but has to flee and try to start a new life somewhere else, all the while worrying about being tracked down by the Galassians or Angelo.

Angelo also survives and spends the rest of his life fruitlessly trying to track down Nero. He never gives up on his revenge and eventually dies, all alone and miserable.

Your predictions: Nero will be dead by the end (and not of old age in a flashforward), yes or no?

I'm actually thinking no because it would be more tragic for both of them (Angelo partly failed, Nero has to live on a broken man).
