12 episodes is comfy length, about 100 episodes is the max length for any show before it becomes a drag.

I generally like about 24-26. I agree it's best to not go on too long but at 12 I feel like we're only just getting started

good. the longer a show goes on, the less I care about it. true 90% of the time. movies are usually better for me
