Legacy. Its sells about 100k to 200k per volume and is read mostly by old people
>>
>>147313794

Here's the answer page but it's untranslated.

the furigana is right there

it sells fantastically well

in addition to the new volumes there are at least three full magazines of Kochikame reprints published each month for convenience store consumption (Monthly Kochikame and 2 Jump Remix volumes).

Only Jojo and Fukumoto stuff really match in general reprints.
>>
>>147315481
>2 Jump Remix volumes
Two new ones each month, or were there two runs?
>Only Jojo and Fukumoto stuff really match in general reprints.
In Jump, you mean? A lot of series get at least two.
>>
>>147315532
all the jump remix and other magazines are just reprints. Stuff pulled from various volumes through the years. Monthly Kochikame reprints 18 great stories each month, some chosen by Akimoto himself.

>Jojo and Fukumoto
I'm mainly talking about the convenience store reprint market. trashy reprints for general consumption by normies. Jojo, Fukumoto and Kochikame dominate.
>>
>>147315645
I'm familiar with Jump Remix. I'm asking how many reprints it's gotten, since even sticking to Jump I know Dragon Ball got at least five, and I know a few non-Jump series that have even more.
Also, I'm pretty sure the first prints are also for normals.
>>
>>147315799
not quite sure where you get your numbers.
i'm sure the Tankoubon of Dragonball went way past 5 reprints.

I just checked a random volume of Kochikame (volume 30) originally published in 1984 and my volume is the 47th reprint in 1993

I think my point is that Kochikame like a few series are perennially reprinted because of extremely wide appeal. Few adults or elderly are going to be reading Dragonball, for example, but they might pick up Kochikame.

Oh, you mean reprints like that. I thought you were referring to new releases by virtue of Remix. Miscommunication.
