I don't watch seasonal anime anymore.

Takes up too much time, and it means I have to filter through too much. I avoid this by taking a leap of faith in this board and letting it do the filtering for me, which I then add to my backlog. I filter by reading dozens of threads every single day. You could argue I should spend this time watching anime, and that's true but then it's a bit of a chore plus lurking and making long posts like this about absolutely nothing (relevant shitposting, I call it) is a part of that 'familiarity' and is also very satisfying for some reason. I've been here a very long time and I have never not wanted to come back, it has never and likely will never be a chore to me since I'm a manchild -- I just cannot feel dissociated about not being in seasonal anime discussions or being a good bit older than most of you or anything.

The only downside is missing some fun threads, but I'll sometimes follow a seasonal anime and just drop it if it's awful.

What I do is I move through that backlog while also allowing my favorites to fall in line, so I can at least have some familiarity in my schedule.

You might think this is really boring, but consider that I'm 28, married with a daughter on the way, going back to university, and already have severe issues procrastinating absolutely everything (including important things like shitting and eating). If I did what a lot of you people do, I'd fail all of my classes and be homeless.

As to why I did not decide to follow this series in particular: homosexuality isn't right.
