Wonder if the Funi/CR partnership will result in anything.

Either Funi giving their eps, prompting CR to get the in-between, or Funi starts dubbing again from some arbitrary point.

None of that is happening. Conan was a flop in the US and Funi couldn't do more because sales were too low. CR will still release their subs and that's that. Funi is just going to handle the big titles they have or get.

I think that overall it would be the same, but you'd kind of lose that feeling of excitement when you finally get to a plot episode. That's what kept me going when I was watching through the series for the first time and had over 700 episodes to watch.

What would you do about Conan's formula of wrapping plot up into cases which take up a majority of the episode?

If we leverage Dragonball's meme of charging an attack for X episodes and apply the same meaning to Conan's cases, are they worth removing?

For instance, Clash of Red and Black. The first third of it is bring Eisuke back into relevance for a 3-4 ep case so he's around in time for Rena/hospital. Then there's an ep or two between the hospital and the mountain pass as kind of a "downtime".

How would you condense this?
Is it Conan if you take away the formula and leave only the plot?
