A friend gave me a single vhs of DBZ for my birthday one year and that is still the only vhs of anime I've ever owned. I got and want a few DVD sets of anime now, the kinda stuff that will never get HD remaster.

I still have a couple of Season 1 Pokemon VHS.

It's a bit of a treasure for me because one of them contains the infamous episode where Brock makes everyone Onigiri but localization changed them to "jelly doughnuts" because kids asking their parents what a "rice ball" is would clearly destroy American values.

The last one overall was rewatching some tv airings of Saber Marionette J.

In no way, it could be set the record more with lower quality and that meant keeping a full match in a single casette. People like bringing up the porn thing but it's just a funny coincidence, Beta was already not that big in japan.

Giant Robo

I have the first few episodes of Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, and The Second Movie on VHS. Birthday present. Still have them somewhere around here.
Had a Pokemon cake too. Drove the Bitches crazy.

Also recorded the DBZ movies on VHS when they aired on Toonami.

I still watch my imported VHS tapes of NGE just for the novelty.

He's right, though. VHS' death is no longer a recent event. If >>147242302 was a Pokemon kiddie 15 years ago, he could be in his late 20s by now. Which is still young by some perspectives, but I highly doubt anyone in this thread is in their 50s or something, so it's moot.
