Five or six chapters left

Honestly this exact sort of plot has been done a dozen times. I mean in terms of "Trap pretends to be someone, girl falls in love with him for real, he feels guilty and has to confess the truth or he gets found out, she feels betrayed and a lot of drama happens, eventually one of them realizes something and they forgive each other, and get together"

The only difference is that Ookami is a story that's centered around the lie aspect from the start, the start of the story is about how lying will hurt him, and ultimately blow up on him. So him lying, and it damaging him emotionally is a core part of the story rather than just a trope.

One volume left, what's going to happen is some drama, but eventually things work out, and a lesson is learned. I can't say who he gets with, how, or any of the details so much.

Its a decent to mediocre series even without Botan. Its not one that would catch our attention much, but it would be decent.

Neither bad enough to elicit threads, or good enough. Its just kind of there, and occasionally fans would make a thread saying "Anyone else read this", and another guy says "yeah", and that's basically the end of the thread.

You don't understand that there's this whole middle grey area when it comes to manga; if its bad enough we can make threads, if its good enough we can make threads, but if its just okay then there's not much to say about it. Can't really applaud it, or shitpost it, but its not really bad or anything.
