Even though Fishman Island was slow and predictable with a villain that was obviously fodder from the beginning, it didn't betray our expectations like Dressrosa did. Dressrosa was Oda's honest attempt at setting up interesting individual fights for most of the crew the first time since before the timeskip. It was also the first hyped up villain arc in years.

Look at all the Logias. Light, fire, ice, lava, mud, smoke, darkness, sand, snow, electricity, gas. No organisms there. Now look at all the Paramecias that some fans had originally anticipated to be or even still think should be Logias. Wax, poison, stickyness. What do these three things have in common?

Some people including myself called this with Trebol when he was introduced. Tar, sap, glue...all come from living things. And sure enough, to Luffy's surprise, he wasn't a Logia.

Logias are forces of nature, but in this instance, Oda is considering not just animals, but plants and all lifeforms, to not be "nature."

theres parts of skypeia i liked, enel was cool and i liked his design, his incompatibility with luffy was hilarious, the norland story was touching, and i liked the cloud ocean.

but the fights were boring, the characters weren't memorable, the story wasnt very interesting, and it was poorly paced.

zou is even worse, i honestly cant remember anything specific about it, characters or story. the only two things i liked were the drawing taking them up the elephant and dying, and the elephant actually busting up jack.

i love one piece, it's my favorite manga for a reason, and i dont just read it for the fights, i like the backstories of each island and it's characters, but i really dont like skypeia or zou. (or FI, but seriously who does)

But Zoro is often the straight guy because he's usually the wise one and most level-headed (when he's not getting lost or lusting for a battle). Like when he no-selled Ryunosuke's death or when he completely shit on the crew for being way too forgiving of Usopp at the end of Enies Lobby or when they were being overly emotional over Vivi not joining or when Luffy was goofing off in Punk Hazard and the entire crew was basically fucking around. Zoro is the guy who bottles his emotions and tries to keep the crew on track.

Despite how much evidence points to Jinbe joining, I just don't feel it. I can't see him honestly being a Straw Hat.

Carrot has less evidence for it, but she really does feel like one. Oda completely underplayed her on Zou. Even scenes she was in, he kept her out of the spotlight and almost never gave her dialogue. Then, suddenly, she sneaks onto the ship and has a chapter very reminiscent of Brook's and Chopper's introductions, just nonstop gags and an unnecessary amount of focus. I used to think some people like Bartolomeo seemed like they could potentially be Straw Hats, but Carrot feels like she already is one.

I'll be surprised if these final two nakama don't join soon. It's been 9 years since Brook was introduced and everyone and their mother knew he was gonna' join at the end of the arc. If Luffy defeats a Yonkou (which I realize is still a couple arcs away, but still) before completing his crew, I'll be massively confused.
