I just don't get the timeline at all. When Junko first meets Izuru it's stated off-handedly that Class 78's entrance ceremony is about to happen. Then in the next episode it is said Nagito has been suspended for a year, so it must be at least midway through the year. The whole despair arc turned out really underwhelming, especially regarding Junko. Yeah, we all know how it was going to end, but I find it really disappointing nonetheless to see her dumb plans going off without any hitch whatsoever. Are we really sure Junko ain't the Ultimate Luckster? Sure feels like it. The grand despair plan relied far more on luck and bullshit magic than on any ultimate analysis.

I don't believe that Chiaki is going to die. Here are my reasons:
> It was specifically stated in-game that Alter Ego made AI Chiaki and Monomi for the purposes of the Future Foundation. AI Chiaki being a Observer in the world and Monomi being the homeroom Teacher.
> Alter Ego was made at the time of the second mutual killing games. All data given to Alter Ego was Chihiro without memories of HPA.
> Alter Ego had no data on Chiaki in the timespan of his master's life. Note that Alter Ego's life began at the 2nd killing games.

Some potential holes that I thought up:

if we do this higurashi/umineko style, and think of future as "question arc" and despair as "answer arc", then the whole point is despair arc answers all questions posed in future arc.

the twist here will come with figuring out how chisa has faked her death. not only did kirigiri examine the body, but munakata even stabbed the corpse right after his talk with tengen. it could also be that she isn't faking and killed herself, but the despair video is what causes everyone to turn into an attacker.

Only one that has any logical sense would be 13th Leader using it to seize control of FF, and as that doesn't require killing Naegi or his own underling Aoi, the plan is to leave them as survivors for him to "save" as evidence of his heroics.

I know a picture says a thousand words, but I'm not sure how he can conclude anything from a picture on Chiaki's likeness. Not to mention, Chiaki's voice was also emulated to a tee. You'd have to argue that there are video records of her at least. Also, their personalities aren't as dissimilar as they seem. Sure we have the naivety of the AI. However, both the real and AI version do share the resolve of keeping the peace, their "MAH HINATA KUN", etc. Who'd even know that Hinata and Chiaki had that kind of connection? Hell, there's even a scene in chap 6 of SDR2 where he himself gets encouraged by AI Chiaki. If we go the route where they develop AI Chiaki, you need to address how it captures the mannerisms and likeness (how'd they know she had a mole on her boob?) of said character.

Just finished the episode. Do you think it's true Izuru let her go? What was the point of this? I doubt Izuru is going to kill Chiaki.
